Protip on the kitchen organization from someone who has moved over 27 times in 31 years: don't hesitate to move kitchenware around during your first few weeks while you feel where things should naturally go. You'll learn the flow around the cabinets and drawers and discover where everything will work best. Takes practice to develop an instinct for where to put things so likely stuff won't be "in the right place" at first. :) Best wishes! Looking forward to more vlogs.

I totally relate to this!! I’m 20 and have never lived anywhere besides my childhood home. In the fall I’ll be moving away for nursing school and it’s scary but at the same time exciting!! Good for you for taking that huge step in your life!!!

I also moved out when I was 21 in July of 2021 !!! It was so fun to see someone else go through the same exact thing….no one talks about it enough it is SO strange moving out of your parent’s/childhood home. I loved watching the experience💗💗

I thought I was the only one, I am 22. Never moved. My parents were building the house while pregnant with me. I am so nervous to move out and leave them, even though I will probably only be moving 15 minutes away. So proud of you 🤍🤍🤍 from one 21 year old who left the nest to another, my pro tip for the first couple weeks being in my own place was to buy a mini speaker. My parents house was never quiet so when I moved out having a small speaker playing podcasts or music helped the adjustment and helped with some lonely feelings.

Absolutely love this apartment and this moment for you!! How exciting! Tip! Get a toilet scrubber and plunger for each bathroom. The scrubber just cause personally I hate carrying it through the house and the plunger cause if you have an urgent need for it but it’s in the other bathroom it’s awful running back and fourth and those few moments could save you a messy clean up.

Not sure if anyone else has commented this, but consider investing in an extra lock for your front door! Living alone, especially as a woman, can be scary at times and its just nice to have that extra security, especially when you sleep. So glad to hear you are the first person living there and so happy for this new transition!
