A Waianae man will spend nearly four years behind bars for embezzling more than $500,000 from a local nonprofit and for agreeing to accept a bribe in a fraudulent city CARES Act money scheme.
I'm sure he's not the only one. But he's the only one that got caught. Probably someone, he knows, turned him in. That's the only way he would have go caught.
Funny how local Japanese who embezzle never get jail time. Most recent one was the sports guy from Waipahu high school. About the same amount of money but no jail time. I guess only Hawaiians get jail time. That's justice for you.
