We have gone to Hawaii twice now. Once on the Golden and once on the Ruby and guess what?? Looks like we will be taking the Star sometime after October! It looks like you guys had a blast! Thanks for sharing.
Do you have full satellite television reception the full distance from the mainland to Hawaii while you're out at sea, or is it limited once you get far away from the mainland or Hawaii?
@@joedidit3233 I would not say its full of channels to select from. Mostly about 5 or 6 sports and news stations. Yes, its usually the whole cruise but sometimes the reception get lost occasionally.
Thanks @@teresah5318 . I know flying from the mainland to Hawaii the satellite stations usually are lost once you get a couple hundred miles out. Was hoping that at least the networks like ABC, NBC and CBS would still be available the whole distance. Nice Video! Thanks again.

thinking about this cruise with my wife next year with New York thrown in, cruised princess before in Europe and liked them better then msc. is 5-6 sea days each way worth only 4 days in Hawaii, do bars get busy on sea days, should I get a balcony for relaxing sea days , should I do Hawaii by cruise or Mauritius hotel

We are thinking about this cruise. Been on seven Princess Cruises sold on them. Looks like you had a great time. My question is was it smooth sailing there and back. Just wondering because that’s a long time on the open seas. 🚢
The sailing to the Hawaiian islands was very smooth, going in and coming back. The cruise we did last year from San Francisco to Alaska was a challenging one. The ocean was rough, but the Hawaiian cruise was just perfect very memorable.
Thanks for the info. We are going on an Alaska cruise in September this year leaving from Los Angeles 12 days. After what you said about that cruise, I hope it’s not too bad for us. We never get sea sick been through some rough seas a few times. It’s just better when it’s a smooth cruise 🚢.
We just booked this cruise for December 22nd 2022 until January 6th 2023. Looks like a great cruise. Just a few questions, are there any tours in Hawaii which will allow us to swim on the beaches? Or is it strictly just tours and sight seeing? Feedback would be much appreciated. :)
Suggestions: From cruise terminal in Oahu, you cam use Uber to take you down to Waikiki Beach, about 10 min. to swim. From there you can walk to Ala Moana Blvd with bustling shopping areas, restaurants. If you can, you might also want to use Uber to take you to Ala Moana Shopping Center, too.
@@BrandyH-eh9up The 5 day cruise from LA to Kauai was pretty bumpy. We encountered rough seas and as a result, our cruise docked in Kauai late. We missed part of our excursion and got reimbursed. Folks on the upper deck got quite seasick due to the rocking of the ship. Our cabin was level P242, so it wasn't too bad, but at night, I could really feel the ship move up and down while trying to sleep. It was a nice trip, but I felt one day was too short to really explore the islands. We took tours on Kauai and the Big Island but rented a car on Oahu and Maui. This was great because it gave us more time to journey and explore on our own. The 5 days back wasn't as rough, but when we docked in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico (our final destination before heading back to LA), the captain made an announcement that we couldn't get off the ship and had to leave immediately due to a storm approaching. That was a real bummer, as I was looking forward to venturing around Ensenada to try some of the local street food. Would I do this cruise again to Hawaii? Probably not as I like to spend a longer time visiting the islands rather than feeling rushed.

CONFUSED, IS THERE A TIME LIMITED WHEN YOUR SUPPOSE TO GET BACK TO THE SHIP BEFORE YOU CANT ANYMORE, CONFUSED PLEASE INFORM
Everything is included on the ship. They tell you what time the ship arrives in each port and what time it leaves. You can get off the ship and sightsee or stay on.
