@@lookcatchuumu is a underground oven made with volcanic rocks and the meat is wrapped in some types of native leaves It's baked roasted steamed and smoked and slow cooked at the same time 😂
Your videos are very informative and delicious 👍❤️ I not only learn the great recipes but learn the history of recipes. Master chef Miku is the cutest 😘
i was just playing yakuza 8 and saw this dish in the hawaiian restaurants in-game, whaddya know! it definitely looks delicious both in the game and in this video :9
@@lookcatchu So TECHNICALLY loco moco isn't Hawaiian Cuisine. It's Considered "Local" food from Hawai‘i. Hawaiian is an actual ethnicity. Like Filipino, Japanese, or Korean. And before Hawai‘i was colonized, Hawaiians had (and still have) their own food or Cuisine. Poke, poi, and haupia are examples. Loco Moco was invented in Hilo, as you referenced in your video, but by a Japanese person. A common misconception is that because it was invented in Hawai‘i, it's Hawaiian. Kinda like saying, "Im a Californian." But like I said earlier, Hawai‘i isn't just a state; it's an actual ethnicity and culture. So, if I (a Filipino person) had a baby with my wife (a Chinese person) in Hawai‘i, it doesn't make them Hawaiian. If I invented a dish (loco moco) in Hawai‘i, it wouldn't be Hawaiian food. Spam musubi is another example. It's not Hawaiian food. It is actually Japanese onigiri with spam that was invented in Hawai‘i. I'm not trying to hate, but as a local, I thought I would share some information on a common mistake about Hawaiians.
I’m Loco for Moco! Loco Moco is so good! Yours looked soo good that I wanted to reach in and eat it through my TV screen. I hope you are doing well, always a pleasure to see your face as well as Miku!
Me and Bat-cat have never knowingly had Hawaiian cuisine before but it looks pretty tasty. Being Brits we know Worcestershire / Worcester Sauce well though! I think it's fair to say we would typically say it in UK, sounding like "Wuster" or "Wuster-sher", or "Wuster-Shire" if being really posh! ...You say POTATA, we say POTATA too 😄 Have a super week 😉🙏❤
BERTRUMRUMRUM!! Omg thank you for letting me know, now I can say Worcestershire with confidence and impress master chef Miku !! I saw bat-cat in Hawaii last week! I think he’s taking advantage of your teleportation device xD POTATO POTATOE TOMATO TOMATOEEEEEE
That's right, Bat-cat has been zipping about all over lately, I can't keep track of him and it's costing me a fortune in teleportation fuel rods! He was apparently down in Hawaii surfing and working with the vice squad...or did he say, nice squid!?🦑🤔 I forget, but he has been a busy boy. Chef Miku will definitely be impressed with your new found "Worcestershire" awareness. 🤗🐕
DAVID!!! AH Yes i knew you would like this cause you don’t like spicy foods xD AHHH NOOO I still haven’t, I keep forgetting!! Maybe I’ll make it into a video 🤣
Hi Catherine ❤I haven't watched your video yet but as soon as I get home from helping my mum I can't wait to watch it Hawaii is so good my mum is Tongan born in ha'apai Tonga This week I have been watching your videos I want to watch more but I cannot find the time I wish I could But my favourite is the springonion pancake I didn't know your Taiwanese Also I wish you would sing in your videos again it's so soothing I've had the cher song you sang in my mind so good Hawaiians are from Taiwan so are Tongans from DNA testing
I finally got home and watched your new video it was so good but now I've seen the videos with singing I wish they all could have this😂 I'm still watching every video from the start then I will go back and watch them again and let you know my favourite ones I found different types of Canadian maple syrup and maple sugar at the organic grocery store I go to it's called Terra Madre I am still slowly trying to figure out what the best is I want to try British Columbia food because they are part of the Pacific ring of fire but all the products I find just say from Canada Also I found hemp seed powder or flour from Canada do you eat this ?
To make you feel better there are different meanings for the words craze or crazy if you look on the dictionary you can find the definitions for the words you are unsure about Sometimes we are too busy or do not think about checking these types of words that are used so much today on so many video titles and thumbnails like insanely fun or extreme games I love the dictionary it's like a lookcatchu video or recipe for the words we use in everything we think or talk or write about and a way to understand more easily and it's on my phone now😂
@@shaunbuza5840 awwww thank you for watching Shaun! I didn’t think anyone cared for my singing 🤣 do you have any recommendations for popular songs to sing? Preferably disco songs 💃🪩 yes I eat hemp seeds with yogurt sometimes! Didn’t know they had hemp powder :)
@@lookcatchuumm Eric burden - spill that wine has the same feeling for me as your videos very very peaceful But the songs you sing are so good way way way better than the originals I don't drink alcohol so the song is meaningless to me it just sounds peaceful 😂 I wish I could live in the Americas too Australia is in the middle of nowhere

With all that being said, I, too, would use the word "Hawaiian" in my video title and description because I KNOW people would use the keyword when searching for ANY local recipe online, even if it's not Hawaiian.
