I think that little girl in the middle was sort of afraid of being in front of all those people, or maybe she was just shy. She wasn't dancing like the older ladies or moving or turning with the rest of them. I think she was "pushed" into this performance, but she didn't really want to do it. Maybe her mom was one of those bossy "stage mothers," or something. Or perhaps she didn't rehearse enough or was unfamiliar with Hawaiian dancing, or no one bothered to teach her enough about it. Whatever the case, I feel sorry for that kid.
She did wonderfully. Of course she wasn’t dancing like the others, she’s only 5-6 maybe? I’m certain she wasn’t pushed, she was encouraged and did an awesome job. She may have been scared/shy but this is where they shine. Mahalo Little one. Keep sharing that Aloha spirit, you were great!!
