Nice pick up! I love the 5mm. Ropes, Francos, and Cubans are top 3 best chains to own/wear. The way Ropes rolls on the neck and sparkles ✨️ is beautiful.
@@TheTriedTruth exactly, 18k is a little dark for me and gives off the cheddar look. 14k is where it's at... and, it's more affordable and still almost 60% pure gold. 14k is the sweet spot for me
@@wvb7119 my grandparents own some 24k from when they were overseas...it just looks crude and...for lack of a better term; ugly. It's nothing I'd wanna wear for fashion or an accessory. But that's just me
I also prefer the look of 14-karat gold and think it looks better on lighter skin tones. It also has a vivid sparkle that higher karats don't seem to have. Jewelry is more about the appearance for me rather than the value, so I don't see the point in investing in anything over 14-karat gold if that's what looks good. People who purchase gold as a financial investment should just buy 24-karat bullion because jewelry is more of an aesthetic fashion thing.
@@wvb7119 Yeah, it'll change your bank account too. IMO 10-18 look very similar, some will freak out at that, but it's just my opinion, but if you go above 18K it does look way different. I honestly don't like it too much. 10-18K is more durable and gives a better look, but that's my opinion.
Not to diss this Hawaiian gold company but when I was stationed in Hawaii (Hickam AFB) a number of years ago there were gold sales carts on Waikiki that sold gold by the inch. They had rolls of various designs for sale that way. The problem was that the HPD discovered that some unscrupulous dealers were selling under-carated gold from their carts. That is for example what they were selling as 14kt when checked out turned out to be something like 12kt or 13kt. You always have to be careful buying gold because there are so many ways the bad actors can scam you!
hwc is legit bro plenty of reviews on him! he does it as a side hustle and does it all by himself thats why he can afford the prices he sells his gold for, he has a day job
I’m kinda stuck between the 4 and 5mm. Both would be 14k 22 inch. But I love them both! Money isn’t an issue just can’t decide which thickness I want. There’s something about a thinner subtle chain that’s so elegant. Super thick looks tacky and trying to be a certain way to me.
@@TheTriedTruth I went with the 5mm 22inch rope, from jacoje of course. But in white gold haha im more into white gold myself. However I have been looking at that Franco style chain and if I buy another I'll most likely get that and in yellow gold.
@@TrevorATX you made the right choice...after they diamond cut it, it shrinks the width, so if you're getting diamond cut anything always go higher. Right decision, I'm sure it looks pimpin
If $$$ is no issue just go with em' both! Lol. A good way to do it if you're unsure is checkout Luke Zions Silver chains, they're dope AF and you can see what sizes work for you by rocking a nice silver chain at a great price. I paid like 125$ for my 4.5mm DC Sterling rope and it's the chain that made me realize a 6 is way too much for me personally. Even a 5 is stretching it IMO, but I wanna flex type piece!
If anyone is interested I have a Jacoje 5mm 20” rope that I purchased a few weeks back for sale. It is close to 37 grams but I need a 6mm to pair with this medallion I have.
Hey man, nice chain 🙂 I'm into jewellery and cologne (aftershave) as we call it, I just got a bottle of parfum de Marley greenley today! Absolutely beautiful juice for the summer fantastic longevity for a fresh scent. Give it a try 👍 keep up the good work.
@@TheTriedTruth I live in Ireland so I bought it here, it was 220 euro I think it's more expensive in America. Really really nice smell I've over 35 fragrances nothing smells like it. I like really fresh scents green Irish tweed is another favourite.
I feel the same about the 5mm rope. I had one in 10k for 7 years and lost it in an accident somehow. I want to get the same chain, a little shorter at 22" this time
Hawaii rope chains is the shit. This year I picked up a 14k 6mm rope, 24 inch rope. The diamond cuts are fucking crazy, shines a little too much but ina beautiful way . 61.7 grams
Can you guys really tell a significant difference between the 5 and 6mm rope? I've never worn a 6mm so I've never seen 1st hand. Is it really that noticeable?
Jesus man, don't they get redundant after a while? How much money can be dropped on 14K rope chains...no to mention all the others? I have a small 2.5 mm rope 20 inch, it's too small, so I got a 5.5 MM 22 inch mariner from Jacoje, it's gorgeous and probably all I'll ever need. I should wear it more.
Nice chains man!! Can you measure each chains to see how close they are to the millimeter they say they are?? Like how close is the 5mm to the actual measurement an so on. Thanks
Hey great videos big fan but I got a serious question so I hear you say you don’t like stacking ur chains and wear all them at once but then why have multiple rope chains if not to stack? I don’t understand
Yeah Jacoje is starting to slip up. He used to get stuff sent out right away now that he has a following he just sits on your order for about two day’s. So total day’s before it arrived five day’s. And that’s with the two day shipping that he forces you to get. Plus he’s always out of chains for a few months.
@@timothy1219 I haven’t really noticed a difference in the ropes but do think based on my own experience that the JACOJE quality has been better not just in the shine or finish but the overall construction and flexibility especially when it comes to the ropes, the standard of quality that JACOJE demands is higher even though other distributors can access the same manufacture there is clearly a premium product available and some distributors may not want the premium product to increase profit margins
His prices are still kinda on the high end, although the used section is pretty fair. If he did discount codes like the others the prices would be very competitive.
@@TheTriedTruth So these are 100% Solid 14k gold on his site?? And how much items have you bought from him because I’ve been trying to figure out Jacoje or HawaiiRopes because Hawaii is cheaper but I want to make sure it’s real SOLID Gold and Not plated or hollow…thanks for the reply and please answer this question too thanks again
@@joshuabrigman9307 I had the Peru Never the other Sorry can’t help on that. I’m sure you will be happy either way… Keep in mind that thicker means heavier = more expensive!
@@joshuabrigman9307 HWC is totally legit. If the item says it’s solid ,it is. If it’s hollow ,semi solid, then it is. He doesn’t sell plated crap. He also sells a lot of hard to get items ,my advice is that you read the item description and reach out to him via email He will quickly respond and discuss any concerns.
Honestly even 2mm you can look really nice with but even if solid it becomes thinner which means easier to break. I think 3mm+ you’d never have a break. But 2mm maybe
I think 3.5 is a very good size if you're gonna layer. I've never worn a 3.5 by itself so I can't speak on that, but I had a 4.5 rope layered with a 3.5 Franco and it was gorgeous
Some of the product is the same like ropes and Franco’s so in that case it’s equal Both have variety from high end and low end pieces I think JACOJE stands out when it comes to custom pieces And the JACOJE signature pieces by far The JACOJE flat curbs, and heavy links, and JACOJE link chains are all superior quality
