In such situations when birds are exhausted or weak give them warm (but not very warm) water with sugar so they will feel better :) it’s a tip from experts
Well. She couldve put the camera down and not priorirized getting content over keeping herself safe. Two full hands and an attention span not forced on recording would've been better and safer for both parties. 🤷♀️🤷🤷♂️

Why? So they can be mistreated by people? Yes I understand this some healthcare workers have less than perfect personalities. My own doctor is an example and I’ve often considered leaving her except she is softening a bit I suspect after her a mass of unpleasant reviews online. It shows it's frightened and breathing faster, poor birds. I am not sure if it's a winning survival trait. Heavily depends on mercy. Maybe they do it only when they are tired like in this instance.
imagine being approached by a creature 3 times your size, possible predator, when you don't have alot of direct threat from other animals, i'd be flabbergasted and scared too

She and her dog, who stayed calm and quiet, are awesome. The hawk didn't fight her at all, understanding she was helping him. Poor baby was super stressed out. What a truly wonderful person!❤
My wife taught me to be like this girl. I never noticed animals and their sentience and souls until she showed me that they matter. Now, we walk in nature and I’m in awe of everything we see.
@@acherrytrapp that was an expression of exhaustion / defensiveness, not amazement. please don't apply human characteristics to animals. it is a disservice to them and can end in a dangerous situation for you and/or the animal (just look up the story about the polar bear hugging a dog)

The hawk was overheated, exhausted & stressed! If anyone comes across this try to "hood" cover the eyes! If the hawk wasn't so tired it could have reaction attacked! Bless this lady! Wonderful!
SO glad it worked out 🎉 🙏 … but I wouldn’t have undertaken this without thick leather gloves (welding/grilling length), a face shield, and NO DOG right behind me that could spook this dangerous predator.

What I’ve learned from videos and personal experience is that a soft, calm tone of voice goes a very long way with panicked animals. They often seem to understand that you’re trying to help
I love a good "No, I promise I'm actually flat and dead!" from raptors. Buzzards in particular are my favourite, especially with the tongue out the side of the beak like little drama queens

Poor hawk was beyond petrified! The look on it's face as he looked up at the beautiful soul who rescued him, said it all. Total respect for life by all three. Just how beautiful is that!!!
the hawk believe it was captured by some one who wanted to end it life ...and embraces the acceptation of death when the woman appears...but the hawk is not aware right away that the women will not kill hawk even if she released the hawk from captivity... as it still waits for death... this realization will take a long time... maybe 3 days? depending how domesticated the hawk is ... maybe sooner... and the hawk will realize the lady was either there to help or help hunt with the hawk she should have keep the hawk and hunt with it LOL
The rescuer is a beautiful soul! Her poise and peace is communicated to 2 strong minded beings in a stressful situation. So much love and appreciation for this.
I've been able to rescue a couple of birds and it seems like if I cover their eyes (or the whole head with a loose bag or paper)with a jacket or cloth, they calm down because they don't see as many things that might scare them. It also works with other animals that don't know that I'm trying to help, not harm.

I bet you any amount of money that the hawk would’ve attacked in panic if she approached it loudly. What animals understand is, predators cry out just before going in for the kill on their prey and she definitely would’ve scared it more without a doubt had she been loud like an approaching predator or had her dog barked too!
Good god she's lucky. I'm a falconer and have handled red tailed hawks before and been footed by them. Those talons are needle sharp and covered with bacteria from previous prey - they will go all the way through your finger with very little effort. I'm not saying not to help, but if you need to rescue a hawk from this type of situation, use a towel or jacket to keep it from flapping and cover its eyes. They become very docile when they can't see and once their wings are gently pinned to their sides they don't struggle. At that point you can clean up whatever their feet are tangled in much more safely. Even with that, don't stick your finger into their foot like she did because they may grasp at the thing they feel. If this guy hadn't been so exhausted she, and quite possibly the bird, would have gotten hurt.

Well, maybe she is actually talking for her own benefit in the stressful situation. btw, some animals pick up on intonation and emotional cues. She did the best thing possible with the least amount of risk and highest probability of success.

Nope, you shouldn't touch wild animals while being untrained, she was clearly untrained because she didn't handle this bird properly That's not how you untangle a bird like that.... She put both herself and the bird at risk of great injury. Also this bird is injured and dehydrated, she didn't call animal control or anything which means if she just walked off thinking she was a good Samaritan this bird died. How about all of you people get out of your fantasyland Go get educated and realize the world isn't sunshine and rainbows all the time? You also cannot expect people to know everything. You are correct, this might not be the best way to help the animal. However, if your goal is to truly help animals, and not start an argument, it would be much more productive to possibly find the correct information and make a comment that says, "If this happens to you in the future, this is a better way of handling things" and adding correct information. People would upvote this, and add even more tips of their own.

She actually has no concern for the bird or her safety. I don't get how obsessed with clout you have to be to start recording every little incident you come across. She could have helped the bird much better and kept her hands safe if she just used two fricking hands.

Most people don't understand how important it is to talk to animals like this. They understand your tone of voice. Some people just talk to each other or the camera.
She is a real whisperer. That hawk was terrified, but didn't even try to attack her in fear even after being freed from the screen. Thank you, ma'am for your compassion and very well-trained dog. ❤🙏
