HAWKEYE is an absolute blast! First time watching episodes 1 & 2 

To answer one of your questions, the Rogers musical was originally just that one song done for the Hawkeye series, but it became so popular, the creators actually did a sort of mini-musical which was a stage show last year at the Disney Califronia Adventure theme park. It lasted a few months, had several new songs, and was super popular. It's not playing now, but there are talks to bring it back.

Clint says that his plan is "catch and release", and his wife says "One of Nat's old moves." If you remember in Avengers, Natasha is clearly "captured" but when she gets on the phone she says something like "I've got them right where I want them, this idiot is giving me everything." It seems the move is to be captured yourself, play the situation from the bottom, and then break out when needed.

Kate Bishop is probably my favorite of the new generation of Marvel.

The idea behind the LARP fight was that the "winner" gained possession of the suit, and when Clint let the other guy "win", he was then free to give the suit away as per the agreement. Convoluted, yes, but it was the easiest (and most fun) way that both Clint and the LARPers all got what they wanted.

The Hawkeye series is HUGELY underrated.

Fun trivia: Ant-Man *was* actually there thanks to Endgame.

You are going to LOVE this series. It has some of the best character chemistry in the MCU. The great news for me, is after a long layoff, partially due to Jeremy Renner's accident, it has been renewed for a Season 2. I can't wait. Enjoy the twists and turns, I'm so looking forward to watching you progress through this story.

This is my favorite of the Marvel series on Disney Plus. My one complaint with Falcon & Winter Soldier was that we didn’t get enough Sam & Bucky time. This one gives me what I want: more Clint & Kate. Hailey does a great job and Jeremy Renner reminds us why he’s a film star: these two shine above the supporting cast and I’m here for their banter.

This show really got fudged on when it came out but I actually think it might be the best MCU/Disney+ show. I can't really explain why but it "feels" like it belongs to the MCU more than almost any of the other shows. I think it had a better mix of action, heart and comedy. Also, I already cared about Clint (and his family) and Yelena but found myself really appreciating Kate, Grills, the Tracksuit Mafia guys and Jack.

There are several things you questioned or suspected which were pretty clear if you were paying attention. For example the "Butterscotch" Jack offered was the same Monogramed candy seen at his uncle's place. She had formal training in archery and martial arts, you even commented on her being such an athlete referencing these things. She didn't necessarily know the suit was going to make here appear to be Ronin, but she knew the suit would let her hide her face, making her harder to identify. There was something else, but since I didn't do my typical "pause and comment w/timestamp references" then continue watching, I can't remember what else had jumped out at me.

This is probably my second favourite MCU series after the Loki series. I love the funny aspects and the idea of mentorship a lot.

Cristy - Not going to spoil it for you, but finishing this series you might set up in your lineup the Netflix series of MCU heroes/characters. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Ironfist, and the Punisher To many, these shows are much more fantastic than the majority of Disney Marvel ones.

Was maybe the show I was least interested in when 1st hearing bout it, but ended up being the best of the Disney Marvel shows

Im glad you started this, it’s a great story. Plus, with the hot weather here in Denver it’s nice to have a reminder of Christmas. The holiday episodes of TV shows are always my favorite.

Yes and no. After this debuted, a lot of theater fans enjoyed it and Disney eventually created an actual 30 minute "Rogers: The Musical" show that ran at Disneyland California from June-August 2023. It was well received and people said it felt like a real Broadway show instead of just a theme park show. The show included 5 new songs and the Original Cast Album can be listened to on YT Music, Spotify, etc 6:23

Rich, entitled people often just do whatever they want, it's a perk to being rich and entitled. Kate grew up that way; she saw a superhero in action, said "I want to do that" and used her wealth and entitlement to train as much as she could. Fortunately she is also talented and confident enough to back it up. Though she is admittedly very unused to real malice and actual life and death fighting.

This is probably my favorite of the shows, Hailee Steinfeld such a good talent from a young age, Not the best casted for True Grit but well suited for most all other roles.

its kind of ironic to me that hawkeye is one character i didnt really care that much about but this series is one of the few i actually really enjoyed. i never thought i would feel fatigue from too much content because i always felt the more the better. but definitly been feeling the drain on the marvel and starwars sides of things. but they are also trying new things with all the shows and looking for new audiences so some of these shows may not even be targeted for someone like myself but instead meant to be an introduction to the universes for a whole new crowd that has never given them a chance. so i guess i can commend them on that point for trying to make bring in more people. its a shame in the most recent stuff that the interviews though are openly attacking the fan base and stating they are doing stuff to intentionally piss people off vs just trying to make good and diverse content naturally. essentially doing things with harmful intent rather than trying to make people a bit more open minded and spark conversation they are trying to spark controversy instead. find it very weird.

My favorite MCU series

"Rozumiesz to?" is Polish for "Do you understand that?", the actor who plays that specific thug (Tomas, I believe is that character's name) is named Piotr Adamczyk and he's really Polish (you can actually hear him hum a famous Polish song to himself in one scene), and I guess him throwing that phrase in was meant to be something similar to people throwing in stuff like "capisce" or "comprende" into otherwise English conversations
