Hawks Nest Overlook, Fayette County, WV 

Hawks Nest Overlook is an incredible overlook nestled in Hawks Nest State Park in Fayette County, West Virginia. The overlook is a short walk away from the parking lot and offers an amazing birds-eye view of the ragged New River Gorge. From the overlook you can see a railroad bridge once used by The Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad (C&O Railroad) but is now used by Amtraks Cardinal line. On the other side you can see the Hawks Nest Dam in Hawks Nest Lake. This area is famous for its advanced whitewater rafting as well.
