It's so nice that all of us 2000's kids have now grown up and gained a voice in the community to finally give the prequels the love and respect they deserve. It's awesome to see Hayden and Ewan being welcomed back with such overwhelming positivity. You can see that especially Hayden is over the moon from all the support he's getting from the community. After how people talked about him bacm in the day, he definitely deserves this second chance. Can't believe it's just one more day. I'm ready!

I don’t think anyone hates Hayden, I’ve never seen a comment that states that lol... it was mainly the mainstream media that would bash the prequels, the fans didn’t have a voice back then... now the mainstream is praising the disney sequels and most of the fans think it’s a disgrace, they should’ve used George’s outline, but they backstabbed him

​@@rumpio5505 Actually, fans originally hated the prequels. Episode 1 started the fan edits of films online. Fans didn't like the "Midichlorians" part of the prequels and wanted something more in line with the OT. Lucas' script for the sequels focused on Luke and the exploration of Midichlorians. Something studios would be afraid of investing billions of dollars in, considering that is clearly what fans didn't want. 5 years ago people argued against this point, saying the studios don't listen to the fans. I think the fact that you have a series staring prequel actors, references to prequels the remaking of KOTOR, an Ahsoka series, the return of Boba Fett and much more, suggests the opposite. It's easy to to blame big studios and Kathleen for something you did not like, than it is to admit that it is just not your cup of tea. Something prequel haters similarly were not able to do until memes apparently.

@@rumpio5505 The fans really don't have much of a voice and rightly so since Lucas created what he liked and made it for fans who would like whatever came about. I think those now in charge of what is being made are doing what is George Lucas vision for Star Wars first and taking some fans opinions.

Yea, he stutters a lot and seems unsure about his answers :( I hope I'm just reading too much into it! and if it's right, then I hope the love he'll get from now on will help him because he truly deserves all the support. He's a great actor (which Episode 3 has proven, seriously..one of the most outstanding perfomances I've ever seen)

i believe he is just a quite person, which shows how good he is at acting. as Anakin is overly confident and emotional, the prequals are pretty amazing for the time there were made. like ep 2 is 2002 and the cgi holds up even today, look at anything else form that same year and its dated hahaha. p

I feel that way, too. especially in situations where the interviewers try to joke around with him, he stays very serious as if he’s afraid of becoming the butt of the joke. I didn’t know people disliked the prequels until about five years ago. they’re what got me hooked on star wars, learning that darth vader had a tragic backstory. hayden is the biggest reason for my love of star wars. I don’t have enough words to describe my love for him.

He's a home body instead of being around crowds he prefers his home. Staying to himself coming out to this is like coming out of retirement which he has he's done small films but walked from Hollywood. He's not used to all this press and such so it's like stepping back in.

They could do it based on the comic where he got his lightsaber. But change it up to have anikan return from time to time and then go back to Vader’s soul

I think the comics have balanced that pretty well with Vader and as long as they take inspiration from the comics a Vader series can be handled extremely well. Plus, Hayden deserves it in my opinion, it would be a waste to only have him in Kenobi and Ahsoka.

why cant we have a show where the lead character is the antagonist? everything ever made is from the perspective of the good guy. would be wildly refreshing to watch something from the bad guys pov

Or maybe it could just be a show about him kicking butt with a few tiny moments of faulter and small bits of light that shine through. It’s just like the Vader comics lol it could work.

i don't think so, i think they are the polar opposite, the prequels succeeded in everything the sequels failed, and the sequels succeeded in everything the prequel failed... Basically, the prequel have a good overall story, and interesting themes, but awful dialogues, not so great acting, and horrendous visuals.... The Sequels lacks a cohesive story, lacks thematics (except for the Last Jedi, which has strong thematics, even if half of the audience hated those thematics), but have better dialogues, better performances, and a better art direction. The OT is the only one to balance evenly everything (which doesn't mean it's perfect)

George Lucas is not very good at writing dialogues, even the actors from the original trilogy said it, especially Alec Guiness, but they were able to change them when necessary... Also, Lucas is not very good at directing actors, which is why Hayden Christensen doesn't give a very good performance, neither do Nathalie Portman or Samuel L Jackson... Ian Mc Diarmid and Ewan McGregor were able to do it, but i suspect that it was not thanks to Mr Lucas.

Not alot of people hated the prequels, just the critics for the most part, and a vocal minority. Pretty much everyone hates the sequels except for the critics. So they kind of have an opposite thing going.

@@MogwaiEar. The main cause of the dislike for The Phantom Menace was that it was very different from the OT, so no, there's nothing to suggest that at all.

Many people did. It's a circular argument to say "I don't think this movie is good because it's not good". It is an exaggeration, they weren't really hated when they came out, except by critics. It wasn't until a few years later when social media had people jumping on the hate bandwagon for a bit until the sequels came out.

/!\ SPOILER ALERT /!\ Apparently, if the leaks are true, there will be some flashbacks with Obi-Wan remembering the time when he was sparring with Anakin, for practice. Obi-Wan will try to remember the mistakes Anakin would make when using a lightsaber, in order to find a flaw in his fighting techniques.

@@GothicXlightning Exactly, literally can’t picture anyone else in his place. The more you rewatch ep 3 especially you see just how perfect his performance is. Even down to his speech cadence

yeah is just sad that many out there would not just give him a true descent level of the respect he totally deserves i know some of his dialogues were far from best but for the most part is not his fault and is not that he was the only genuinely great aspect about Ep2 and 3 but he certainly was the very core heart and soul that gave a crucial element to the prequels thanks GOD it was him after the anakin from Ep1 cos Hayden most certainly brought a whole new superior level to his character

@@GothicXlightning Agreee!!! But I have to say that I loved the dialogues, cause I felt that every word transmitted Anakin's feelings, I don't know how to explain it but it feels right. Also the expression of his eyes was totally amazing in every scene even the way he moved his mouth. Definitely Hayden performed Anakin so well.

The prequels definitely are the best in terms of ideas, just wish the execution had been better, doesn't stop em being the ones I rewatch the most mind you... And yeah, how George managed to make the universe so different from the OT, but also still the same if you get me...brilliant

@@cptsteele91 George had dumped a lot of money into R&D into digital photography and it was so clean that people complained about that too, while George had wanted them to look different, the cleaner sharper prequels with more stuff going on in the backgrounds to represent the old Galactic Republic and how it was a way different time for the Original Trilogy where it's more dark and the shadow the empire had covered everything.

@@N1ghtb1ood The prequels gave more context to the OT. In the way that you truly leave understanding why the galaxy is the way it is. The tv shows are doing world building even better But the prequels, specifically the relationship between anakin and Obi wan, are masterpieces in the sense that they perfectly give context to every single spinoff that takes place afterwards There can be no Star Wars without the prequels

I grew up watching the prequels. I’m 23. I saw Episode 3 when it came out on DVD and then I later saw the other movies. Episode 3 started my love for Star Wars.

Adults hated the prequels, feeling that the kids who loved them were just too young to know good dialogue or acting. Children do know about such things. Now these children are grown and speaking out in defense of the prequels with sound logic.

@@adamskyj69 you've got me there. I meant more than a single 1 minute scene out of 9 movies.. up until that point in the movies you've been told Vader is a huge threat in combat, but you never really see it, especially in the original trilogy.

I agree! I would love to see the “bad ass” Vader was see in the comics and video games. I’d love a series about it

@@michaelcoulson7900 I want a scene like the opening scene of The Force Unleashed game where the first gameplay you have in the game is playing as Vader and he’s just all kinds of overpowered. That’s the only time where I really felt that Vader truly is unstoppable. Hopefully we get something like that eventually
