Sounds like your healthcare plan is from the affordable care network or whatever Arizona has for their statewide coverage of that network. Tbh all those plans suck. Employer sponsered coverage is so much better imo. If you guys have an employee that gets healthcare, you should be able to buy that coverage instead. They usually require 2 different people to get that coverage. So your family plan and 1 other person.

The thing I would say about insurance, if it's possible with self employment, find the doctors and know what hospital you want first and check what insurance they take so that way you know you're covered with those physicians and/or medical center.

We have universal health care in Canada, so pregnant women don't worry about the cost or insurance! They worry about the delivery!!! You should establish universal health care!!
