I am very thankful to you all for this production during this terrible global pandemic. I love this orchestra with all the wonderful music pieces you have posted to RU-vid. The quality of the musicians, Conductor, camera & sound productions is superb. I replay many of your videos often. Living on a very small pension, the internet provides my only source of entertainment. Your music makes that a very high quality of entertainment. Thank you all so very much. I pray that each one of you stays healthy through this pandemic. God Bless You All.
Can't keep from coming back again and again for this performance, which has no peer. Haydn would be thrilled to see what he's accomplished, becoming as immortal and as loved as any human artist could be.
Echt bewundernswert!
Listening for a second straight time. What a sparkling first movement! It has to bring a smile to the listener. Thanks for sharing your videos. Greatly appreciated!!
Same. I Dont think anything stuck out to me on the first listen. But second listen and yes the first movement sparkles. And that Obo solo in the 3rd movement... This part reminds me of a moment in the 3rd movement of his 49th. Obviously the same key, and the effect is paralleled. In theory class, I always dreaded the Haydn examples because, out of context I always thought he was sooo boring. Now I listen to him more than anyone else.
@@elaineblackhurst1509 It’s a fact that Mozart and Haydn were like a father and son. Wolfgang called him “Papa”, and they shared all their ideas about life. As with the Strauss family, propinquity affects creativity. I’m sorry you can’t hear what most of us hear, but it doesn’t matter. You can still hear and celebrate their genius, right?
@@riverwildcat1 You’ve not answered my question which I suspected might be the case. The unique friendship between the two composers only served to reinforce their very own very powerful, individual, and mature musical personalities, though in Mozart’s case in particular, the relationship with Haydn served only to enrich his own style, as did his studies of JS Bach, Handel, and almost every other composer he came across. I do indubitably celebrate the genius of Mozart and Haydn, though back to my original point, I appreciate Haydn because he does not sound like Mozart, and I appreciate Mozart because he does not sound like Haydn.
Love this fantastic videos and recordings of this orchestra but that bassoon line independent of the basso continuo in mvmt1 needs to be brought out!! Bernstein's recording does it best, surprisingly.
Evviva Haydn! Endlose Lektionen vom unbesiegbaren Franz!
