As Marvel TV show Agent Carter comes to Fox in the UK, Stefan Pape talks to the lead actor Hayley Atwell for her role. They talk about the move from the big to small screen and where we see Peggy going from here.
Plot: Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell, reprising her role from the "Captain America" films) is an unstoppable secret agent for the Strategic Scientific Reserve, dedicated to fighting new atomic threats that have emerged after World War II. After working in New York, Peggy heads across the country to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. As Peggy explores the bright lights of Hollywood and discovers new friends -- and perhaps a new romance -- a sinister threat emerges that could impact everyone she is sworn to protect.

look at hayley, she is so beautiful. she turned peggy carter into a character with much bigger role in MCU than she had in comics which is crazy and awesome, all because of the fans who love hayley and her portrayal. when i see photos from her photo shots i wanna cry of how amazing and good looking she is. i would kill for a woman like her so i suggest to chris evans who is also hot as she is and has a good chemistry with her, i tell him go and get her. they would be an awesome couple

Odd that she didn't think of the obvious reason why Peggy can't possibly be Tony's mother: if she were, she would have been the one raising him, not Howard and his wife. Plus, we would have heard about it by now, after so many MCU movies with Tony Stark. Cases of false paternity are frequent, but false maternity... eh, no.

Va-Va-Voom! Everytime I see women in old movies, I always think “They don’t make women like that anymore” - Women with curves, not the skinny actresses we have these days. Then comes Hayley Atwell as Agent Carter, in WW2 and 1940s costuming - Wow!

we can all thank the writers & producers of Agent Carter for the shit show the 2nd season was - it was an absolute train wreck. It basically copied the premise of the 1st series. Peggy was still under appreciated & sidelined by the so called 'Men in charge' The 1st season was lacklustre with Peggy Carter being maligned by everyone & not being taken seriously. I mean come on why couldn't they in the 2nd season capitalise on the Agents of Shield show & have Peggy, Howard & Phillips start Shield. The Guest stars for that idea would have been huge enough to keep the series afloat. The start of how Hydra managed to infiltrate Shield would be one hell of a story to tie up to the C.A. The Winter Soldier movie.

they didnt want her to start shield that quickly but wanted her character to grow and it makes sense that pggy is being sidelined constantly, it's still the 40s, shield probably started in the early 50s prolly not long after steve arrived since she was living in DC
