How’s it going ! Always on point and detailed !!! I have a question not related to this , I’m wondering on my skimmer I just bought it has 2 outlets ? Can you please explain the connection ? 1 to suction drain ? And one directly to the pump ? And if one outlet to the suction drain ,does it matter where I tie into the suction drain ? Confused !!?? Thank you
Hey Steve love your videos. Big fan of the channel. What do you prefer this or the pentair superflo vs??? I've seen your video series on the superflo vs and leaning towards that unit for my upcoming pump replacement. 17k gallon pool. Cheers 🍻
1.65thp versus 2.2thp so do you need a bigger pump or a smaller pump? This is the first question as these pumps only compete for the same market in name. In actual pump power they are really intended for different pools. How confusing, right? Fortunately the pump industry is now moving to WEF ratings which test how many gallons (in thousands) can be pumped for 1kW of power consumed, over a range of RPM. Going to help level the playing field a lot to make apples to apples comparisons moving forwards. I like both of these pumps and if you bought either I am totally stoked because I think you will be happy. There are probably 100 pumps on the market and we are talking about potentially #1 versus #2 for the entry level VS market. So yeah...both are good. Hayward if your pool is a little smaller / less flow needed / you have a sand filter. Pentair if you need more flow (bigger motor) and have more features to run / a larger pool / filter capable of higher max design flow rates. Sorry for the long response to what is supposed to be an easy question lol. Such is the nature of this technical stuff. Always more going on than appears on the surface. Cheers
