I’m a driving instructor and although this test is good it’s bad how it can give you no points for seeing a hazard too early. No such thing as too early in driving
One thing I absolutely noticed is that hazard perception feels more like learning how to game the test, not actually perceive hazards. I got zero on two clips and failed by 2 points, but I saw everything and know I clicked too early on some of them
Just happened to me 5 clips it gave me 0 points when I would have gotten it, I did it like I would in the dvsa app where h click 5 times and get 5 points
@@baileyvarty3304 Exactly the same with me - 5 clips zeroed! It'a absolutely bloody ridiculous! And insulting to be told they've detected that I'm cheating! Even though I got 0 for those 5 clips, I still only failed by 7 points so I must've been doing something right! They SERIOUSLY need to recalibrate their so called 'cheat detection!'
I did the test twice and msq is 49/50 which is fine but those hazard videos are utterly ridiculous like remove it or do it on the practical test or even include less of them…I got 42/75 on both tests by clicking early! 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I got 48-50 on the multiple and I was 1 off on hazard perception and I know one of the clips I got zero on… it was a long stretch of road… a lorry comes over the hill in the distance followed by 3 bikes!! I clicked it as I thought this is gonna be a hazard… low and behold I was right but too quick!!! I have my test again on the 7th and if I fail this time I don’t think god wants me to pass 😂😂😂😂
My theory test is tomorrow and I’m pooooping it🤣 Edit: Lol I passed, 46/50 for multiple choice, and 52/75 for hazard perception🤩Was pretty easy tbh LMAO
Thank you so much for the advice. I’ve been using the app for awhile but wasn’t aware of the 3 click method. I passed my theory today, 47/50 and 68/75 😌✨
My test is today! Will update this comment after Edit: I passed first time! 45 & 64. Didn't buy the app, just read the highway code and used free resources online. Revised for 2 weeks 👍 good luck everyone
I just want to thank you for making this video. Just passed my theory test 1hr ago. The 3 click method helped me score 60 of 75 in the hazard perception section.
@@whyamigae9666 Ive got mine in a couple hours lol. I genuinely started revising 4 or 5 days ago and have been doing mock tests on the dvsa app (very useful) until I started getting high scores. Good Luck!
@@whyamigae9666 46/50 and 55/75. The questions weren’t exactly the same as the DVSA app but they were somewhat similar. I’d recommend using the app to do mocks until you’re getting 50/50s
Not coming in here to rub it in but passed first time!! 🔥🔥🔥 hours of watching youtube clips and using apps to practise the questions and hazard perception really does pay off. ❤
Thanks so much Lauren for your 3 click method for the hazard perception. I passed today with 48/50 in the multiple choice and 58/75 in the hazard perception. Please keep up the good work :)
My issue with this test has always been that there are often more than one hazard but you're only scored for one, plus some questions score you the most for noticing the person when they've just come onscreen (and barely visible), even though they are still a potential hazard rather than developing at that point. I kind of wish it worked the same as the quick time events do in the game Shenmue, having a different outcome if you win or fail. Much better for reflexes than just hoping you got the right hazard.
I've done my theory test twice now. First time i failed both parts but i got so motivated to revise . Took it again this morning, got 49/50 for the multiple choice and 37/75 for the hazard perception. I'm very pleased with my knowledge of the highway code, but also feel so lost in regards to hazard perception because I thought i was doing everything right, don't know what else to do.
That’s an amazing score!! I done mine today and didn’t pass. I got 47/50 for multiple choice and 39/75 for hazard perception. Any tips?? Your hazard perception score is so high!!
@@omniaelkhalifa7281 hi, I’d highly recommend you to use the theory 4 in 1 app and do as much hazard practice clips as you can, I really struggled with the hazard perception until I learnt the 3 click method. Click one - when you see a potential hazard click two- when the hazard moves and click the third time a second after the 2nd click. Such a good attempt for your first try though. Hopefully you pass second time! X
Had my theory test today - Used your video very late on the night before for last minute tips & inspiration. Got 64/75! Smashed it!! And I felt much more relaxed whilst doing it too which also helps! Thank you so much for the top tips!
This video helped me a lot. Had my theory test yesterday and passed. Scored 49 in the multi choice and 62 in the hazard. This is my third time and I kept failing the hazard because I was clicking in a pattern and too many times. I did the 3 click method and I passed. Thanks so much for this video. Much love
Got my theory test in two weeks. Passed all the Multiple Choice Questions. Now just practicing the Hazard Perception Clips. Before doing a final attempt on all MCQ and Mock Tests. Just to be test prepared and ready.
Thank you so much for this great advice. I found your video at the 11th hour and I feel I would not have passed thanks to you. You are amazing. Anyone reading this USE THE 3 CLICK METHOD. I met a couple of people who only clicked once and they failed. Thank you again.
This video is the most helpful that I’ve seen so far out of many, I’ve watched it once in the morning before my theory exam and passed! Used the 3 click method, you got this guys stay calm and make sure you’re fully focused on the videos it will be easy for you, good luck!
I've been using this app and I've managed to retain quite a bit of info! I've still got a lot to revise. I've passed 5 mock tests on the app so far! But I've been struggling with knowing when to click for hazard perception so I can get it at the right time. My test is 2nd of September and I'm really nervous but hope I smash it! This was very helpful, thank you!
Just wanted to say i had my theory test today and passed ! Big biggg thank you for all the content, on youtube and on the podcast it really helped me a lot ! X
I watched this video last night dreading hazard perception. But luckily I passed by one mark 45/75🥳, honestly thank you this video & I 100% VOUCHH for the theory 4 in 1 app!! TYSMMM
Did you do the 3 method click? I did it on my first 3 videos and they penilised me for click three times and scored me 0 since the begining. I think this has changed
Thank you so much for the advice on the triple click method! My daughter passed second time using this method. On her first test she was only clicking once per developing hazard so subsequently was to early on a few clips. The app is great too! I'm one happy dad!!
I've been practicing my hazards for a few months now (lgv) but never thought about doing the two or three clicks method until I seen your video. I did my test today doing this over the 19 Hazard perception tests. I'm pretty sure this helped me through it so thankyou very much for this video 😊
I wasn't confident on the hazard perception, but then learned the 3 click method and scored 55...... On the questions I was 1 point off a pass 🤦♂️. Will definitely do it on the next one 👍. The hazard perception is way better at the test centre as the videos are in HD on a larger screen so it's actually a lot easier than on the app. Would be nice to see a web version of the app so you can get full screen videos on.
Thank you! Watched this video yesterday and passed my test today, 50/50 multiple choice and 54/75 hazard perception (not great but far better than I thought I’d do).
I didnt pass my theory test a few days ago by one mark on the hazard perception test because I was “clicking in a sequence” which I wasn’t. I have my theory test again tomorrow. I’m so annoyed because I wasn’t cheating.
Hi all , not usually one to leave comments but failed first hazard perseption 54% doh!!! Watched this video and took the 3 click advice and basically sailed through my test 79% Cant thank you enough 👍 Very much appreciated, fantastic . Woohoo 🥳
I cant believe there’s such a thing as clicking too early.. I have really good pattern recognition and reactions to things like this.. It should be scored from the frame that the hazard develops.. that way you cant be punished for being good at something 😭
I have my test in 1 day, I was just wondering does anyone know for the clip with 2 hazards do you only get around 10 clicks over the entire clip with 2 hazards? Or do your taps double to around 20? X
Just failed my theory 3 marks off on I got 2 clips with 0 marks I assume it’s because I clicked when I saw pedestrians crossing through a another cars window and pressed only once I will keep this in mind in my next exam thank you. You’ve help me pass the multiple choice 45/50 I just hope I pass my next exam Wish me luck
Got mine tomorrow hopefully I can update with good news :(( I PASSED!!! tho this is a little late for me it was literally what was on their app and the hazard perception you really just need to keep an eye out for what would make you physically stop and click like 3 or 4 times :))
Got my test in a week now, getting like 46-50 on my multiple choice questions and hazard perception is a bit iffy, I’ll come back and say how I do but the 3 click thing should go fine
That sounds like you have been disqualified for clicking too many times. You don't need to click 3 times every time you see a potential hazard. You click once if it is a potential hazard, only then if it begins to develop, you click again. You should only need to click 3 times once in 13 of the clips and twice in 1 of the clips - as there is only 1 scorable hazard in most of them (2 scorable in 1/14 clips).
@@DrivingTestSuccess wow. I've been reading everywhere about the 3 clicks technique. So this is not the case for every single video in the hazard perception test?
@@playsquadvilzy6740 passed the hazard perception but failed the actual test by 1 mark. Already booked my next test. Success doesn't come without failure!!!
I followed this three click method and it told me I had clicked an inappropriate amount of times and so I was getting zero points, I then failed my theory test because I was ONE mark off on hazard perception 🥰
50 out of 50 on the theory, failed for clicking early and clicking only once, so disappointed. Another test booked for Thursday, hopefully its gonna be three clicks and a pass. Thanks for the upload
I just went for my theory second try, and i got 47 on multiple choice and 43 on hazard perception because apparently i was clicking “unmannerly” so i scored 0 points on the video that has 2 hazards😐
I failed the goods vehicle hazard perception test a few weeks ago. I've been driving for 15 years and have so far been able to avoid getting into any accidents so I have faith in my actual ability on the road. 96/100 on the multiple choice, but I think I overreacted on the hazard perception. May have clicked too early, may have clicked unnecessarily in some cases and set off the cheat detector? I have another attempt coming up in a few days, fingers crossed I can pass it this time.
Lauren Very informative video 5 GOLD STARS FOR YOU!!!!. Used the HGV version of the Theory and Hazard perception online. Took my test today Passed first time on both elements!!!!. Doing the Case studies next week but doing the tests online has prepared me for the exams. Easy to use and you explained the best way to identify hazards and best method of clicking. Even though you did not mention that there are 19 clips on the HGV with 2 hazards on 1 clip the same principles apply. Some video clips need to be converted to CGI as video quality was poor making hazard perception on night scenes very subjective. Other than that it is an excellent tool to help you pass as it is very close to what the real test are like. Keep up the good work I highly recommend your product to any budding HGV drivers.
@@flex8963 No they are not the same as DVLA do not release these to anybody due to copyright and cheating issues. The ones Driving Test Success use get you into the mindset of identifying the hazards some are obvious and some are very subtle. Unfortunately there is no quick pass on the hazard perception you have to put the work in by sitting down doing mock tests. The CGI ones will show you what the real test will look like. You have to remember it will be set in day and night, rain, sun, wind and snow. Animals are involved dogs sheep cows horses. Emergency vehicles, tractors, broken down vehicles, motorcycle, bikes, scooters pedestrians expect the unexpected. If you use the software it will give you ideas of what to expect. Remember if you doing your practical driving you should be learning to read the road as you drive anticipating any hazards. Good luck
Really helpful video thank you Lauren! Does each click be registered by a red flag? Last time I went on my test I clicked more then 5 times but only 5 flags appeared. Is that normal? I got my test on Saturday. Xx.
I did my first test and passed multiple choice part but I was clicking too early I think for the hazard test so I'll be trying this method for my test tomorrow morning! Will update on how it goes
