Hazbin Hotel Season 2 Interview: Will Helluva Boss Characters Appear?

Hazbin Hotel checked into this year's San Diego Comic-Con with the exciting announcement that the show has been renewed all the way through to Season 4. To celebrate, Collider's Perri Nemiroff chats with creator Vivienne Medrano and the voice of Charlie Morningstar, Erika Henningsen, about what fans can expect from Season 2 following that show-stopping battle between Heaven and the titular hotel in the Season 1 finale.
During their conversation, Medrano and Henningsen tease that the second season will have more songs, more action, and more drama between characters, possibly including Charlie and her elusive mother, Lilith. The dynamic duo shares the story of when they first met and how they immediately knew they'd make ideal collaborators, and also took a moment to theorize about how characters from Hazbin Hotel could cross paths with characters from Helluva Boss. It always amazes me how much Erika just *is* Charlie. She's a goddamned ray of sunshine in every interview and panel I've seen; the world needs more Erika Henningsens 😁 Also, Charlie and Loona together? Loona would just immediately be done with the conversation the second Charlie opens her smiling mouth 😂

I’m really hopeful for this next season. It’s only eight episodes but since they got green lit for two additional seasons we shouldn’t have the time compression issues we had first season. I still hope we get a full 30 minutes per episode but I’m not holding my breath lol

I mean if they going to change the time of episodes then it will be at least 40 minutes long, cause knowing Amazon it would be hard to believe that such hyped project Will get 25-30 minute episodes again, especially when show's biggest complaint was the lack of timing and episodes.

@@year7high711 maybe but i hope not😅, after all vivzie herself stated in some of her interviews that they had such limited timing for the episodes, and knowing prime they definitely (i think) will allow episodes to be longer, first season was experimental, prime needed to see how would show turned out, results was very good, soo they allowed vivzie to make season 3 and 4 already. Soo yeah let's just hope that episodes would be longer.

It's obvious that they made 8 episodes again cause scenario for season 2 was written even before season 1 came out, maybe episodes will be longer than just 25 minutes. Maybe around 30-40 minutes.

If I had a chance to talk to Viv I’d ask her how her Disney Cruise went! I heard she recently went on an Alaskan Cruise on the Disney Wonder! I too recently went on a Bahamian Cruise on the Disney Fantasy! Both Viv and I love Disney and would love to talk about it!🚢👍

@@graciethestickbug5740 i don't think that even velvet would be able to redeem, cause she's a bitch (i still like her), she doesn't gives a shit what happens to her workers and she creates a love potions that are used to drug people, even Asmodeus hates it, i think they are equally horrible persons but the difference is that vox and velvet are thinking more before committing actions unlike val who will shoot you just because he's in a bad mood.

@@kingb6427 well everyone knows his backstory cause he did what nobody from overlords have done, he slaughtered some of the strongest overlords in seemingly over night, soo story's like that would spread quickly in hell, even Charlie knows it considering the fact how confused and scared she was when she saw Alastor standing in front of hotel's door.

@@kingb6427 well for answering this question we need to know who owns Alastor, that's not Lilith, cause if Alastor wanted to be free from his deal then he would tell Charlie immediately where is her mother and that she needs to help him. Someone needs the deal but it can't show up himself cause he/she can't do it, soo it sends Alastor who is forced to make a deal with Charlie and person who owns Alastor is roo ( i can tell you how did they meet and what she wants from Alastor and why Alastor needs a deal with Charlie but it may be a little spoilery, but still it's a theory)
