Life began for her on Peter Street Nassau, Bahamas. She soon moved to Fort Fincastle, where she lived until she was 15 yrs of age. During a time when the Water Tower actually supplied water to the island of New Providence, when the jailhouse was across the street from her neighbourhood in Fort Fincastle, when mothers made homemade bread to share with the neighbours, when children finished school at 14 yrs of age and when a move to Coconut Grove in New Providence was a move to the suburbs. An era when children were taught respect for their elders, respect each other, the discipline of hard work and never to beg, borrow or steal!
