My wife and i are gonna get an Aliner "Scoute", so we can outfit it ourselves. We are gonna use a Propane on demand water heater and outfit a larger water tank or just 2 smaller ones to get around 20 or maybe even 30 gallons of water for showers and cleaning. And yes we will need the outside shower option if it doesnt come with the "Scout". We will be outfitting, flexible solar panels on the roof and a couple for the ground. Our inteded goal is to have around 2,000 watts of solar. For the microwave, electromagnetic counter top induction cook top. And at night we can run the a/c for around 6 hours. We are looking to get a 12 volt a/c and a 12 volt fridge. We already have the Honda 2200 gas generator for charging and back up. We are looking into one of those laser projector TVs. You can project a picture just about on anything. Cardboard, sheet, or even the side of the camper itself in or outside. USB fans and SOLAR Rechargeable camp lights too.

I tried the shower curtain rod idea and it kept falling down. I could never get it tight enough on the ends to keep it from falling down. Great video, thanks. Looking forward to seeing more of your trips with the Aliner.

Hello and thank you for your comment. The shower rods need to be tightened strongly to avoid collapse. Also, depending on the temperature differences throughout the day, the sides of the Aliner may expand and contract. One idea is to install shower rod holders that can be purchased at The Home Depot or Lowe's. I plan to make a video in the future with updates on my modifications, and I will include more information regarding the shower rod/metal shelf mod.

Nice video. Thanks. We used 2 wire shower caddies over the apex on both sides and then a wire shelf across , hanging on the bottom hooks of the caddies. It’s up above your head so you don’t bump into it. This provides a high wire shelf that goes the whole width of your trailer.

Do you mind telling me the cabinet door opening measurement where you store your toilet? …so I can see what brand/sizes of toilets would fit through the door. I’m trying to decide between the Scout Lite and Ranger 10… any advice? Thanks for taking time to make videos. You do a good job!

Both the Ranger 10 and Scout Lite have the same footprint. The opening of where I store the toilet is 13 3/4" in height and 14" inches wide. It's plenty deep for a porta potty. The Ranger 10 won out because it offered a furnace, built-in stove, outdoor shower, 11 gallon drinking water tank, and a 6 gallon water heater. I like the creature comforts provided by the Ranger 10.

What are my pet peeves when traveling especially while I'm camping is don't overpack I tell everybody that goes with me the same thing.. and their responses well we MIGHT need this.... yeah but we might not. I don't want to have to disassemble a camper and figure out how to fix tons of stuff back in perfectly every time I want to access something I would rather pack lightly and enjoy my time outside.. if something happens and I need something I don't have there are dollar stores everywhere today and other places to buy stuff on the road while camping..

I've also noticed that items I packed for tent camping are not needed in RV camping. I'll be doing an inventory check soon and remove items not needed. Good idea for a future video, don't you think?
