All the placement of each speaker is wrong, and 5.1 sound is not for listening music, it's work with video. You didn't decide the performance of 5.1ch sound without video.

I have an old sony DAV TZ 215 home theatre. it has only SIMPLE HDMI PORT connectivity and no hdmi arc port nor aux port. I have buy a new sony smart tv which has hdmi arc port/3.5 mm jack and no aux port. Is this device useful to connect both to find surround sound.If no then which device is best.

Every split of stereo to 5.1 is just emulation meaning interpretation of what company want to do in the dsp of card (effects like hall , church, music , expand etc) it might add reverb or delays to sound.. if u want to have real 5.1 then only dolby digital is way to go. dts , atmos ..newer formats , only for movies , but for music simple stereo with bass and treble is enough if speakers are not powerful then subwoofer. And let me explain what problems are in movies with dolby digital recordings . A dvd or some digital content u buy, they sound as per the engineer who recorded it. What they do in the dolby lab is to adjust the levels of each 5 channels when they pack the audio for movie. Each movie will be different , some are low some are high , most of the time u will be adjusting it specially the subwoofer levels , and only if u listen carefully. Most of people are focused on center channel only , they just need to listen to dialogues. So get a good center channel. These cards do work well in converting optical to analog channels with dolby processor but the digital raw signal also need to be sent in optical with a code that senses and switches to dolby digital which i doubt they can do very well.. And speakers also need to be good enough not tin can sounding. If u want decent solution then Logitech Z906 with dolby processor is good or Sony home theater with dolby digital the one with tall back surrounds. If u want dirt cheap then have creative 5.1 speakers and this card with optical in for DTS.

I have a Sony DZ 210 5.1 (which does not have an optical in or ARC) it’s audio output is excellent that do not want to upgrade to any wireless speaker. I doubt if this decoder gives me the same out put, please advise how I can connect it my Samsung Q60R with an additional device in a handy budget.

I have a have 5.1 proper surround system. You only enjoy surround sound in movies when the movie sound is actually 5.1 and you hear different sound effects from different surround speakers. Basically surround speakers are for sound effects. Otherwise sound coming from all 5 speakers for a medium size room is just not pleasent.

Brother I have the same one , Its supporting AC3 ,DTS 5.1 to analog 5.1 .But it would be great if its supporting AAC 5.1 audio to Analog 5.1 . Now we gets only 2 channel stereo out or Prologic 5.1 while we plays AAC 5.1 audio formats . Is there any Optical / coaxial audio decoders which converts AAC 5.1 audio format to Pure Analog 5.1 . Now a days some of the online movies are coming with AAC 5.1 audio format .

In F&D inbult prologic provides fake output you do not feel any surround sound, but with this decoder you will get real dolby prologic or dts output, this decoder also converts 2 channel stereo audio to surround sound

Bhai thanx is video ke liye kafi search karna pada, bas ek chiz ki video bana sakte ho to ek chiz check kar dena netflix and Amazon se 5.1 awaz ati without prologic ke bina, i.e sirf center se bolne ki awaz aye and respectively jisse jiski awaz ani chahiye, movies jo prome pe hai jinpe 5.1 likha hota.

Yes it can but you can't experience full 5.1surround sound experience via 3.5 mm jack. You'll only get some surround sound effects

You cant get true surround sound true an 3,5 mm jack( aux ) it will only be stereo whatever you hear in the front the same will be in the back you have to use an optic cable for true surround sound :)

Agar aap youtube se surround sound experience karna chahte ho toh aapko ye decorder lena padrga kyunki ye decorder Dolby Pro Logic II ko support karta hai jo 2 channel audio ko bhi 5.1 surround sound me convert karta hai othewise baaki 5.1 channel movies aap directly bina decorder ke in speakers par enjoy kar sakte ho

Han ji aap is port se mobile attach kar sakte ho, aur aap is port par bluetooth device laga kar bhi mobile ko wirelessly connect kar sakte ho. Par is port se audio output average milti hai
