Always thought they were underscored. Anyway we are lucky enough to have Victor coaching here in Burnaby, B C. I know ShaeLynn is coaching and doing choreography in Toronto

@@MsRumex главное, что у них была долгая спортивная жизнь, а Шэйлин состоялась как хореограф. А я благодарна им за то, что смотрю фигурное катание)

They were never robbed. They were judged very generously. Nagano was maybe the best example of that as they made multiple errors across the board in both compulsory dances and they skated both their OD and FD entirely hand to hand or side by side. And as Tracy Wilson would constantly say (except for teams that she personally liked it seems), skating that way is much easier. It was so satisfying to hear Judy Blumberg tear into B&K for their lack of content at the 1998 Worlds commentary as it seemed like virtually no one would ever call this team out on their lack of content. Not to mention their inabilities to skate their compulsories properly. It seemed like they were virtually the only team in Nagano who couldn't perform their counters or their twizzles the way they were supposed to be skated.

In Salt Lake City? With or without the fall, they should've been ahead of the Italians. But either way, B&K still had no business being ahead of Drobiazko & Vanagas. I might've even had Denkova & Staviski ahead of them too.

They probably would've won the bronze because the Italians fell. Some of the judges had them in front of the Italians even with their own fall. Either way, Drobiazko & Vanagas should've finished ahead of them, whether B&K fell or not.

I actually think most Russian teams are overrated. The only ones that I ever truly liked because of their skating skills are Klimova & Ponomarenko and Grishuk & Platov. For whatever reason, so many fans seem to think that Bourne & Kraatz were the best thing since sliced bread. But they weren't. They were horribly overrated and nowhere near as good as many were desperate to believe.

Perhaps people liked them for the skills they actually did have which was there very deep knees and very long edges. People like something or someone because they see a certain quality in it and that is not a matter of being desperate to believe anything. Anyway nobody claimed they were "the best thing since sliced bread".
