Watch the video with subtitles. In summary, Juggernaut has 34 health. Hitting him on the head with an anvil does 4 damage and a weight does 2. Hitting him with your claws DOESN'T DO ANYTHING until the end of the level. At the end, claws deal 1 damage a hit. So, I hit him on the head with 7 anvils, 2 weights, slash him twice, and he's done.
17:18 and the 3 minutes after that was absolutely amazing. The player was shooting cards to the beat, adding to an already amazing soundtrack ... one of the most entertaining speed runs I've ever seen. How does this video not have more likes???
I love how true to the comics this game is. For instance, it nails how, when Spider-Man's spidey sense goes off, he has just rampant, uncontrollable flatulence. Just like in the comics!
You know... This whole damn video is extremely awesome, but I have to say that I was PARTICULARLY entertained by Gambit throwing cards to the beat of his second stage. It really was! And that ALONE is reason enough for me to want to Like this thing five times over.
I found this game in my roms about a year ago and tried to play it. I'm just going to say that you must like pain and suffering to even play this thing, let alone sit through a zillion rewinds to play it with perfection. Nice job!
Also a fan of ALL the Gambit Stages-- the 'drum beat' making was the best. Related: WTF is up with the ending of that-- 24:13 "C'mon.. let's go HOME!" Really, Cyclops? Where the fuck is your home? You mean 'base'? The academy? What, is Spiderman coming, too? It's like they're all going to walk back to their parents' house.
@JosephCollins Thanks! I knew going into that level that I could use the cards to make snare drum noises, but imagine my surprise when I learned that the block explosions sounded a little like a bass drum as well! Other highlights from this level include dancing inside of a wall at 19:09, the tile corruption at 19:27, and the boss fight at 20:26 (A camera hacked version of this fight can be found at ?v=tnfw-sFo3uc).
How is It possible tô beat Juggernaut without hit him with the most of weights? I spent my whole childhood and couldn't beat him! After growing up I could beat the game but still not so easy to do this! You're awesome!
I wish that this game had been more like the Spider-man arcade game, a good ol' fashioned beat em' up. That game was great, and one of the few to have Submariner as a playable character!
Awesome work. I also agree, autoscrolling stage was very well done. Lmao @ the ending. I had this game when I was a kid and it kicked my ass consistently. Kinda glad to know I didn't miss anything by never completing it. =D
In the early Uncanny X-Men comics, there's an issue where Arcade traps the X-Men in Murderworld, and at one point, Storm, is trapped under water. Chances are that it's taken from that.
can using all the anvils and weights alone do the job? b/c i remember clawing him the entire level, dropping every weight on him, and getting your same result. it was painful.
hello friend nice video I really love this game I wonder if I could get the music can screen gambit? since and thank you very much greetings from Argentina
@TriggerheartExcelica I mean, they are definitely exaggerating his abilities, but if he can sense danger, it'd logically follow that he can find it, too. The items in the first stage are bombs, so those are certainly dangerous.
@BrandMan211 Yeah I don't feel bad. I'm more of a completionist player than a speed runner though I still try to keep moving in a game without stopping if possible. Also wasted a lot of time on Juggernaut. I knew he could only die at the second pillar, but I didn't know he had so little health. Would've made it a bit less stressful on the "Try not to take any damage" part. Wouldn't have bothered me too much if I did take a hit though. Game is a pain in the ass.
um why is Storm doing in a water level(idk it just looks silly and unnatural)..when flying is what she's known to do. also i didn't know that the xmen were also weak to kryptonite lol
@TrueSoreThumb Thanks for the positive feedback! On the ending, don't get me wrong, that's a really big problem with the story...but you notice this and not the fact that they made Storm into a fucking mermaid? o_O
They should’ve added more comic book cut scenes, make the juggernaut 50% easier to kill, and this would actually not have been such a bad game. One of the biggest disappointments I’ve ever had with video games!
@RUL1S88 I want to create my internet personality as an honest person who doesn't post obvious TASes as speedruns in an attempt to look superhuman. That would just be pathetic.
Oh, and 2:26 POO! too many characters use that same damn noise. BITCH on gambit boss sounds like you are punching her in the GUT then screams out of her nose when killed. sounds like a man when getting hit but a woman when killed. makes total fucking sense
Worst ending ever.......why it doesn't it have a credits roll, but Spiderman the Animated Series does. I guess Ljn was focusing on that game, not this one. Now we know how horrible this game is. Spiderman the Animated Series was better? Well that's mixed opinion about the game.
This game was ass It only looks cool when it gets TASed I watched with a grin in my face. This game pretty much ruined my childhood as it was the only game I had for like, 2 years. Watching it as it got completely ass raped like that was great.
