At 66 years old, I can honestly say that I am fortunate to have lived during the entire Mark Knopfler era. From the jumping, bouncing exciting man on stage to the calm reserve attained by any great artist over their years of performing, the minute the first note plays, you know it is Mr Knopfler. He is one of the top 3 ever! Thank you Sir!

Mark Knopfler. Dire Straits. The soundtrack of my life. The range of the man has no limit. From Sultans of Swing, Money For Nothing, Heart Full of Holes....a seemingly infinite wellspring of amazing music. The best part? No matter how much garbage the world seems to want to wallow in - a couple of hours with MK and his crew makes it all go away. Thank you, Mark, for 40+ years of musical bliss Simply the best.....

I think he's the best he's ever been. Saw him in 2019 at Wolftrap, DC - and he had me from the opening note until the very last one. Every song was captivating and new, even the old ones! : ) Dire Straits were fantastic, but now he's more in a class with DaVinci, Shakespeare, Beethoven. The most amazing artist ever (God excluded, of course!)

How lucky these people are in the concert. This is one of the few concerts where they have played at same speed and sound as the original records. The musicians are just amazing and the quality of sound is just incredible!! You can see the quality of music here, no egos, and no old men pretending to be young, just pure talent that sounds amazing! thank you Mark and friends !!!!

I nearly died in car crash 4 months ago. Spent months in the hospital. Had to determine my last rites. Specified Mark Knopfler tunes to be played during any ceremony. Tunes included Going Home and many more. Mark Knopfler has been an inspiration in playing guitar and also creating my own songs. He is an angel to me!!!

My one criticism - you have to be there. Heard him in the worst stadium, concrete, facing walls, the whole audio hell of a place and they sounded like soft butter. Every note from every instrument in perfect balance, like a studio album. That’s when you know just how brilliant they are. Nowhere to hide, everyone in perfect harmony. What a band.

I am 70 years old, in 1976 I was playing with my band in the city of Livorno (the Tuscan native city of the painter Amedeo Modigliani) and many friends and fans told me about a certain Mark Knopfler who played the Fender Stratocaster in exactly the same style as me. , "fingerpicking". I was intrigued, so after inquiring I purchased Bob Dylan's famous album "Slow Train Coming" in which Mark appeared as the first lead guitarist. Obviously I was thrilled and from that day I have always followed our dear Mark in all his performances. F.

Yet his lyrics are pure poetry that creates moods and imagery evoking our past, and a hope for our future. Always hurtful when your heroes get old. Love his music. My first concert was in Brussels in 1983 , I think, and I was mesmerised by Sultans of Swing. Like so many others here, I believe Knofler is one of the greatest and brightest guitarists ever.

This: about a year ago I happened upon RU-vid and caught up with years of MK videos. I have been a fan since the early days and was at the Alchemy concert. When I first found these latest concerts I was a bit shocked, who was this stocky bald old man...my Mark had a headband and a youthful slender swagger. But I have come to appreciate this Mark too, the maturity, the voice and the guitar skills are still here. We wre all older now. I love you still. ❤

that an incredibly brilliant, gracious man who remains one of the greatest guitarists of all time. a joy to watch him. as someone now 77, who's been listening to his music for 40 years & who also used to hitch hike, i think the world of this guy, & hope to meet him someday. no nukes!!!

A big star with a guitar… he’s excellent in his art, as Phil Colins or David Gilmour too. I really love their musics and songs since I was young. A true legend from Dire Straits to his solo career, music so timeless and wonderful it just never stops leaving me in awe. And the evolution of him as a musician is great, has matured like a good wine. His live performances are superb, so different and so unique from On the Night through A Night in London to this, yet the same soul throughout them all. I love On the Night and grew up with it so always will be very special but he just keeps refining a real virtuous and a legend Thank You so much for the music Mark Knopfler

I wrote my first book ‘Mafia Dollars’ by Andy James .. on a family holiday in the Alps listening to ´On the night’ .. such wonderful music .. and now Mark is still churning out these gorgeous music inspirations … a long way from when we used to listen to him and his brother etc playing in the pubs around Deptford !

Cosa posso dire, non ci sono parole per descriverlo Mark si esprime da solo , ma suonando e creando componendo musica vera comunica emozioni da quando tutti lo ascoltano la nostra anima è sempre più nutrita di note e melodie che lui è solo lui sa come trasmetterle con il suo modo di suonare la chitarra sembra che parli per tutti noi con poche note semplici crea atmosfere e senso di vita pura. I have been on tour with Dire Straits for 2 1/2 weeks in 1992 (Scandinavia), and I really liked it. And now I see Mark Knopfler almost 30 years later... And I still like his music! Thanxx a lot, Mark!
