I got this camera free (well $3 for shipping) I was able to get it to work with app version 1.88. It found the camera automatically. The scary thing, and the reason its in the trash is the camera will not work without an internet connection. It makes calls to 4 different servers on port 32100. 1 in AWS, 1 on the west coast, 1 in Norway, and 1 somewhere else in the US. It wont work without reaching out to one of these servers. And even if it connects initially, it stops working if you block internet access even after its running. I have several cameras and most cameras "want" an internet connection but don't "have to have" one to function. In my opinion just don't mess with this camera. There is no need for a camera to require a constant connection to an outside server. Besides the camera doesn't work with anything but the HD IOT app which is horrible and constantly crashes. It was a great idea and I think a cheap PTZ camera is a cool idea but not this one.
So ive had one of these cameras just sitting around unable to us it for the past 6 or 7 months because i didnt have the box or instructions that came with it and didn't know what app to download until i came across this video and seen it was the exact same camera i had so thank you for this because i finally got the right app downloaded and finally got it working and connected to my phone.(oh btw i got it to connect to my phone by clicking connect directly to camera in the app and then going to wifi settings and connecting to the camera's wifi and go back to app and enter your homes wifi password and its connected)
Please does this camera detect movements , if yes how to configure it? I got exactly same camera with same app but the HD IOT app is very limited. Pls help!!
I got the same thing like this cctv camera but i try so connect with my Wifi home not working but if use the wifi camera like own camera wifi not home wifi it working?
А что делать если при сканировании QR кода программа пишет что он инвалид? Дело в программе Как у вас на видео но когда сканирует на лампе QR код пишет ошибку😢
Hola,tengo una cámara igual que la que está mostrando en el vídeo y no puedo conectarla al wifi aunque la tengo conectada y me avisa que está correctamente pero se sale de línea continuamente y no se que hacer para que quede configurada. Gracias.
I've had two of these(BOUGHT THE SECOND THINKING I'D F@CKED UP THE FIRST)but no. Both were just crap! Constantly losing connection and the magnet wouldn't hold a pin. Be easier to glue yourself to the wall and just watch O.o
There is no QR code to connect the bulb, the connection is not possible from different points of view, and all so called solutions here do not work. Guess, why the exact critical part of the video short after minute 6 does not show anything ... I found many of exactly these cameras with uncountable various names. All of them with own video explanations, and the fun part of it: in all the comments people asking the same questions. The answer is, there is no answer. So, i assume, it must a marketing thing to get as many views as possible to monetize the yt account additionally to the selling of something. As marketer I do congratulate for the smart idea.
My light-bulb camera is lying idle in a box and probably will never be used again. I didn't sign up for the "bells and whistles service" (which came at a cost) and used the device with an SD card. As a basic security camera it worked except it gave a very annoying and loud beep-beep every 20 seconds and the video recorded non-stop i.e. not just when movement was detected. It would only have been useful if I was aware of a break-in and could check recent video footage but as for learning of intruders who didn't break in...forget it. The task of checking many hours of video would send you mad. So people considering whether to buy this device need to decide if they are willing to pay a subscription fee and get a device that is reasonably useful or...not pay a subscription fee and end up like me.
My wife bought it and Im already annoyed that it doesnt come with simple instructions on a piece of paper I can read. Old school people, not all want this QR code crap.
Agree.I could still use mine for basic video recording (with no subscription) but the beeps are annoying so I don't = waste of $. I'd say this device verges on a "subscription trap". Good luck!@@ellonysman
My camera after resetting it, says "Wrong username or password". I tried using my WIFI password with no luck. Anyone know the default password. If I remove the camera in the VI365 app and reset the camera, will I need the default password to connect to the app or will I need to enter the wifi password? Frustrating as hell..I lost the manual and it was in chinese anyway, I think.
I guess it is the evidence that this video is not meant to be helpful at all. 10 minutes of nothing important. There is just no code, that's it. The correct answer is: WE ALL LOST MONEY.
