@@rackaid14 Single strokes of any kind can be difficult you have to practice your stamina and this becomes easier and easier over time being in a band with one of the Ramones alternate picking shouldn’t happen as it doesn’t stay true to the sound that they’re trying to create, It’s honestly not that hard if you put the time in and if I were in that band for any instrument , I’d have my chops up to par , no excuse for being sloppy
Marky lo ‘mecanizó’, el mejor en mi opinión fué Richie. Tocaba igual de rápido pero no te salteaba un golpe. Para mí la mejor época de los Ramones. Igual Marky me gusta, es un gran batero y aportaba mucho al grupo en momentos difíciles según dicen.
Tommy no tocaba así y Marky en la epoca de los Ramones en vivo tampoco, ambos agarraba la baqueta como lo haría cualquiera de nosostros y golpeaba al hi hat golpe por golpe. si buscás videos de la época vas a ver. No le quita mérito porque incluso es más difícil hacerlo asi que con la técnica del video. era más bien fuerza bruta que técnica.
@@davidleewrath6919 no, Johnny only played downstrokes (except on animal boy - the song), but he played only quarter notes, effectively half the speed of bass. He started doing this since the 80s, probably when Ritchie joined the band.
@@Fleig. I think Johnny said something about it on his book, that they played faster and faster in the 90s to keep up with younger bands and he had to do upstrokes as well, and he hated it. I may be wrong, I read the book years ago.
