i have two questions: how did he do those really fast dashes in frost walrust stage? how did he do that super fast air dash that causes dmg? i've been playhing x4 all my life and i didnt know this game had these?!?!
Hmm, I wonder why the Stock Shot was chosen by the runner instead of the Plasma Shot. Is it because Plasma Shot cause lag and longer invincibility frames against bosses and Stock Shot blasts act pretty much like enhanced semi-charge shots (which don't activate invincibility frames)?
i think not. go look megaman x1 x2 and x3. the graphics of x4 are in good resolution only, the SNES megaman x123 are most detailled and not "ridiculus". (i think)
I'm surprised the optimal path doesn't involve getting the head upgrade ASAP for the free weapon use. It sounds like the kind of thing a Mega Man TASer would have wet dreams about.
@LAKERAT2000 Not really. X's 100% is different to Zero's because of the different requirements. By all means, debate the point there if you feel the need.
@MrACeCakes The air dash is called Nova Strike. It's this game's Giga Crush. I think the Body Armor gives it to you. The dashes in Frost Walrus's stage were likely due to momentum and ice physics.
@Aldotiti Put simply, you play on an emulator, and using a combination of slow down, save states and rerecording, try and optimise the play as much as possible. It can be a very tedious and time consuming process, kind of like making stop-motion animation, but it is very worth it
No, it's a re-record count. Re-records can be literally 2-3 frames that they try to capture over and over again. Re-records do not mean they replayed this over 100000 times, but certain parts may have been redone multiple times to get the best possible outcome.
