13 years ago, I added this video to my "favorites" playlist. I thought it was an incredible quality timelapse. If you compare it to today's videos, it's like GTA 3 versus GTA 5. But it's still breathtaking.
it is incredible how nice the streets and roads are.. I didn' see any single hole or bump over any street the asphalt looks flawless.. i wonder how they do to keep the streets like that.. and with all the incredible amount of heavy cars bus and trucks. and also how clean it iss... just incredible
@Mike0256 Well, you can't generalize Europe, cars are very expensive in for example the Netherlands but they're rather cheap in the country right next to it, Belgium.
I live in Egypt and honestly people here think America is like their dream land where they can avoid daily issues like bad education, expensive products, low salaries, unclean streets, buses and the list goes on. (But of course there are great places here however they're expensive for the average citizens here) And the American movies/shows are so annoying because they'll always make America look so great and it's so much better to live there. So tell me what's going on there?
holy crap I live in TO and I so agree. Its all politics. People want to keep lame ass streetcars when they are clearly outdated. They build huge ass highways instead of public transit, for people to go to and from work. Public transit can at least give the city some income from fares but super-highways only cost money. Unions go on strike every other day and nothing gets down thx to entrenched interests.
I live in Canada and when i'm waiting at the train station I always put my bag on the ground, my bag starts to look dirty after 3 months or so. After i went to japan for a week the bottom of my bag was black, and there is no soap or toilet paper in many public washrooms in Japan... but as for garbage disposal they do very well, there was no littering even in the most busy public places that i could see.
Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition Remix on the PS2 had a bonus Tokyo Challenge in the game. Rockstar's version of Tokyo at the time wasn't as modern or beautiful as the real city of Tokyo, at least the AI driving in Free Roam was accurate (Cars drove on opposite lanes to the American stages). I do agree with you though, they should make a Midnight Club: Tokyo edition game, with better city details and adds more cars sold in Japan (like the Nissan Stagea 260RS, Mitsuoka Orochi, or Suzuki Cappuccino)
seoul is like a poor mans wannabe tokyo haha, i remember i went and they even had pictures of tokyo for seoul subway posters, "dynamic korea" or something haha korea was smelly, dirty, people are very rude and loud, and people do not function as well as a society as i saw in japan, seemed like korea was trying too hard , but cheers!
Tokyo is so clean from the looks of it. In NYC theirs bums and just trash erwhere. And everythings old as hell and the subways arent safe. Everything about Tokyo looks new and clean and safe. I wish we had monorails..... we have to underground into subways.
@Octavideoz Tokyo has huge and complex public transportation network. Commuter trains are operated 3~5 minutes interval. It is faster, cheaper(about $1.5~) and more punctual (arrival time is much predictable) than using the car. Look at 'Transportation in Greater Tokyo' in Wikipedia
question for japanese people: can you explain me why 99% of the people take train to go to work? is it faster? cheaper? there must be something that im missing, because i wouldn't think twice before choosing the car car after seeing this video.
JHEEEEEEEZE!!!! They're living in another century can't wait when I grow up i'm only 15 now but when I'm 18 it's my first destination the thing is i'm black are there a lot of racist people there.
well maybe that was just my experience then, because almost every time I used a public washroom there was no soap, and in a few places there was no soap or toilet paper at all....
@marschlowitz123 Grass is always greener.........You are living in the most beautiful parts of the world. Socal is awesome. I would give my left arm to be living and working there.
@cool12threeman Toronto has constant construction that's what pisses me off :( The roads wouldn't be so bad if half the time they weren't single lane due to yet another construction crew.
YY!!! Really awesome, and it is only the rich, medium part of the city, by what I have seen , the poor regions is really bad. Anyway I love Japan and specially Tokyo. すごい 。
this video sucks. not played at the real pace. goes much faster. look at the people walking at the signals. they dont appear to be walking..they are running,,,,lol.
VARY high crime rate, discrimination, difficulty finding work,(need I go on?) Yes, america has thick facade but in reality it is much less pleasant. Trust me...
THIS is my dream destination. America's not so great...You just have to live in america to find that out, japan is the better country by far for many reasons.
