Love the trumpeter who plays the main theme! Plays amazing mouth flutter with the trumpet, then puts it down to play that solo with the screech on the sax!! That's one talented guy!!
One of the rare singer/entertainers who match the band, who are extraordinarly brilliant. Happy singer and happy band. Brilliant. Gilson's drumming is just excellent fun...
Paolo you rocked Munich! I saw him as a support act for Pink. He was so brilliant. A sunny day and Paolo Nutini.... what more do you need? Great voice, great performance. Keep on singing!
In the words of Jimmy " Two times " I fuckin love this guy love this guy ! I wish he would dance more i'm sat here moving muscles I didn't know I had x

So late to this but as an artist I am pretty much happy if I have a pencil full of lead... but as a kid I was a woodwind prodigy (classical clarinet) and can’t imagine how that soloist can switch embouchure between single reed (Saxophone) and brass, especially trumpet.... that’s some amazing lip control!
His name is Gavin Fitzjohn, member of the Vipers and of Paolo's current band. He also plays with Stereophonics. He's a multi-instrumentalist, also plays guitar, piano, bass.
There are only 3 artists that remind me of the best of times with my Grandad. The first two are simple. He wasn't much of a music kind of guy but came (even more) alive when listening to Wynonie Harris or Louis Prima. The third is a bit weird in that although he died long before Paulo Nuttini came on the scene the way Paulo sings, and the way he moves when lost in his music, all remind me of Granda. I wish he was still around to hear this because he'd f***ing love it.
I love love love this guy...he is young and original...and his music makes me tap my feet...it is happy music for me...if you are sad, put on his music and it WILL cheer you up !!!
when i heard this song i pictured a skinny black guy with a big smile....then i looked up paolo and was like ....oh i was not expecting tht.... BUT HE'S AWESOME :D
Oh, one, two, one, two, three, four Oh, I've got a sheet for my bed and a pillow for my head I've got a pencil full of lead and some water for my throat I've got buttons for my coat and sails on my boat So much more than I needed before I got money in the meter and a two bar heater Oh, now it's getting hotter, oh, it's only getting sweeter I got legs on my chair and a head full of hair Pot and a pan and some shoes on my feet I got a shelf full of books and most of my teeth A few pairs of socks and a door with a lock I got food in my belly and a license for my telly And nothing's gonna bring me down Oh, no, oh Oh no, oh no, nothin's gonna bring me down I got a nice guitar and tires on my car I got most of the means and scripts for the scenes I'm out and about so I'm in with a shout I got a fair bit of chat but better than that Food in my belly and a license for my telly And nothing's going to bring me down Oh, nothin', oh, nothin' Nothing's going to bring me down, oh But best of all I've got my baby Oh, best of all I've got my baby She's mighty fine and says she's all mine And nothing's going to bring me down, oh, ooh Oh, best of all I've got my baby Oh, best of all I've got my baby She's mighty fine and says she's all mine And nothing's going to bring me down She's mighty fine and says she's all mine And nothing's going to bring me down She's mighty fine and says she's all mine And nothing's going to bring me down, not today, no, no Written by Paolo Giovanni Nutini
@ciarangrahan12 His father is of Italian descent, from Barga, Tuscany, although both his parents are Scottish, his family having been in Scotland for three generations.
@D3ltra Paolo himself confessed to listening to a lot of Louie Prima (the voice of King Louie from The Jungle Book) and jazz artist.. he was effectively paying homage to him with this song..
