That seems like something they could have written into the show easily enough. It happened to Matt LeBlanc on ‘Friends’. For a few episodes he suddenly had his arm in a cast.

I miss the Sheldon / Penny interactions from the earlier seasons, when the writers started focussing on the Sheldon / Amy relationship something of great value was lost.
You really can't compare Amy with Penny in terms of conversations with Sheldon. They're two completely different relationships. Sheldon and Penny are a brother/sister dynamic while Sheldon and Amy are romantic partners dynamic. As I've said, two completely different relationships

That does not look like a 40 ml drink, it's probably a 20 ml (half or single shot in Metric depending on location) or at most 1 ounce (1 standard shot in Imperial Units)

This was a hilarious practical joke played on the pisspoor actress who played Penny. They take an "actress" who thinks doing duckface nonstop is cute (no, it isn't), they put her in yellow, and they even do her hair to look like a duck's ass. All they needed to do was make her say, "Quack, quack!" The joke was entirely on her, and she was too dense to know it -- like the character she played.

I so get Sheldon here: "I don't like the Olive Garden, they treat me like family". I had a similar experience, the Pizza bar in the same house that I Iived in had a very nice manager. He always recognized me, and always wanted to chat and make small talk every time I bought a pizza there. Being very much a socially awkward person, I absolutely hated that, so I started to buy my pizzas from other places, further away from where I lived. Because I hated "being treated like family".
