I went on one of these in Taiwan a few years back. It was so popular it had a waiting list. I enjoyed it especially the curry that looked like diarrhea.

Yeahhh. I went to this nightmare. Got dragged by my friends. Here's the deal, the novelty wears off fast. So, it's toilets. The thing is, this place could still be open but NO. The food was HORRIBLE! OMG, it was bad. It was basically frozen Asian fusion, horrible quality and OVERPRICED. That was the stinger. Bad food is one thing. Charging Cali Pizza Kitchen prices? HA. I can go to any neighborhood Chinese place and get what I had there (the barbecue meatballs) for $8...a whole quart. Here, I think I got three rubbery meatballs and a dash of rice as an afterthought for $12. No one liked their meal. It was actually a fun place to go, but a huge dining disappointment. Even the service was bad. It deserved getting canned.

Did you really write it "sadly" went out of business? It reminds me of people who use (old???) toilets for a BBQ. No way in the world I would eat from one of those.

It must have been started by a sick person and only sick will visit such places, let alone enjoying it. I for one won't visit even if offered for free. I accidentally saw this video for few seconds and couldn't stand it.

Its disgusting concept and must be discouraged instead of accepting it. If nature has been so kind to keep arrangement in our body at its proper place, if the humans understand this placement as to which place of our home will be where, and when we know our which act (even natural) will be performed in private, there is no reason to associate those things with the food and insult the food and protocol of its eating.
