Group Xandra, fronted by Sandra Reemer, performed "Lieveling" at Nationaal Songfestival 1979, Netherland's national selection for that year's Eurovision Song Contest.
The song placed second, not going to Eurovision. But Xandra went to Eurovision anyway, as they had been internally selected to represent the Netherlands, and all the songs in NSF 1979 were performed by them.
