In the early 1960's Honda's toe-dip into the American market was demurely announced with a now iconic print advert for the Honda Cub that simply read, "You meet the nicest people riding a Honda". The concept's objective was to develop an image for potential customers that strongly differed from societies almost unanimous association of motorized two-wheel transport with violent, anarchic biker gangs. The ad successfully launched not only Honda but a new concept in advertising so effective that it's changed little, if at all, in the 50 years since. Amazingly, Honda products themselves would have an even greater impact on mobility and human technical progress in the decades to come, but ironically, and to me most interestingly, while for the next 40 years Honda products did become a primary tool for tens of thousands of individuals seeking to differentiate themselves from others, customer objective was a 180 reversal of the original ad's message. Just like bikers, these customers generated relationships with their whips, and in everything from their paint, wheels, sound, and even driving habits, the point was to tell the world that they were NOT interested in mainstream approval, that in fact, they could go fark themselves if slammed orange hatchbacks pissed them off. That said, unlike many Harley dudes, Mopar freaks and the Ford hardcore, Honda tuners don't take looking serious too seriously. They aren't obsessed with tired tropes about masculinity and patriotism, arent willing to drive heavy, ponderous beasts or give up cheap tarmac thrills just to fit into a cultureless culture totally preoccupied with perceived penis enlargement. They just want to rip it - and not just for a lap at a time so brakes can be cooled down. So dear Honda, yes, you do meet the nicest people driving a Honda, just not the button-downed ones you still seem so determined to impress. After a decade of abandonment now, we hope you've found your way again and learned that the point of producing a halo car every year is really about developing and maintaining halo enthusiasts, because only they can nurse and shepherd an inanimate object into full legendary status.
I'm a performance nut and I think the hatch will do better in SCCA. I already built my ex to run track next is my hatch to get track ready. Coming from rwd mk3 to em1 DD and I'm not hating life like I thought I would be.

My CB7 will probably never be car show material since I work out of it and I live in a place where people can't drive. Always finding dents and scratches in parking lots that wasn't there before.

Trust me your opinion is the same with everyone else's!! Lol there is a long awaited video being put together from when the car was first getting put together we're just waiting to finish it on the Dyno before we post videos of it. It's coming soon!
