On September 4, 2024, at the Global African Hydrogen Summit Awards ceremony, HDF Energy was honored with the prestigious Hydrogen Innovation and Technology of the Year Award.
This award highlights the company's innovative technology, the Renewstable®, a 24/7 hydrogen power plant delivering non-intermittent renewable, stable and baseload power by seamlessly integrating intermittent renewable energy sources with substantial on-site energy storage in the form of green hydrogen.
Iyaloo Akuaake, Project Developer at HDF Energy Namibia, accepted the award alongside Nicolas Lecomte, VP for Southern and East Africa, and Dexter King, Business Development Manager. In her speech, Iyaloo emphasized that the technology reflects a commitment to providing non-intermittent renewable energy, reducing carbon footprints, and building a resilient and sustainable future. "It is a privilege to be recognized for our efforts in advancing green energy and hydrogen innovation in Africa," she remarked.
