@JacqueBibblequip nope, hdmi is a licensed product. If you want to release a product with this port, you have to pay roughly 10.000$ and than a few pennys for every sold item and guess who gets to pay them in the end? Correct, the Consumer. That is why I said what I said
I ran into a problem with my TiVo because my HDMI cable became slightly loose and since cable card and HDMI are drum protected it wouldn't let me use any of the cable tuners as it couldn't get the drm info from the TV this issue would be solved if HDMI was a locking connector and most of all massive companies weren't as greedy.
@@ericlikeshalo in what regards is HDMI faster? HDMI 2.1 can only transmit roughly 38GBit/s while DP can transmit double the data [78GBit/s]. Pls Google the specs before you Post something
HDMI actually makes the products you buy cost more because of the royalties that are required. Newest DisplayPort release is superior to the newest release of HDMI.
Actually, DisplayPort has a better refresh rate than HDMI, HDMI is stuck at 144 Hertz for any resolution, your claim of display report being stuck at 60 hertz and is only true if you're using the oldest version of DisplayPort at 4K, and it barely any graphics cards can even run games at 4K above 60 FPS, and if we're talking about raw specs, display port HDMI beat at every point, display port 2.0 transports 80 GB per second, or 16K at 60 Hertz (No graphics starts to run any games at that) HDMI 2.1 can do 48 GB per second or 10K at 120 Hertz
@@SStonio12 yeahhhhh sorry Sherlock i know there is HDMI 2.1 but only a hand full of TVs Support that. Or in other words 95% or more of TVs in use out there don't have HDMI 2.1 Support.
@@SStonio12 yeah 2.1, 2.0 doesn't matter. my point is that almost nobody has a compatible tv out there and also its hard to tell the 2.0 and normal HDMI cable apart. That's why i think generally speaking you still can say that HDMI is for max. 60 and DisplayPort for everything above. Especially when it comes to PC's
Hi bro heard that you used to have a 2060 so what’s your opinion on the card since im planning to buy a pc and i can’t decide if i buy a ps5 or 2060 pc
