@@darkrangersinc i noticed on the ghs and hdr multi tool you showed some steps with adjustments that were helpful to see. I need to go back and re watch those 2 videos and really wrap my head around them

Yeah if I have a video out that goes into detail, I'll go through a little quicker especially if it's not the main topic but still show the details for this particular image. The other video breaks it down even further@@turbo80lxcoupe

Nice work on all the techniques mate. In my workflow I'd take it into Photoshop and use the camera raw filter and lower the highlights selectively with the brush tool. Less is more though.

Same I don’t do most of that stuff in Pixinsight but like I jokingly said, trying to be a man of the people 😁 and use what most people are, which is still Pixinsight. I drop highlights for HDR maybe a little debaze and then clarity for LHE. I will say though sometimes those tools do a great job. They did well here and also with California Nebula. Just a little more labor Intensive like you said. For me after I stretch and do NBN I go to PS

Great video mate, but try to cut down on the zooming, we can see what you're doing. Still wanna see what happens to the image when using the sliders ;)
@darkrangersinc
@darkrangersinc 6 месяцев назад
I actually have a lot more people who complement and ask for the zoom in because they can’t see it. They’re usually watching on their phone and what not. I try to never zoom in so far that you can at least see a part of the image and then of course zoom right back out so you can see the net effect. I’ve never had somebody say something about the zooming in, but I guess no matter what you can’t make everyone happy 🤷🏻‍♂️. Believe me, it’s easier to not include them. It takes a lot of work to constantly add them. I’d love to skip it, but then I’ll get the exact opposite complaint far more often. 😐

One more question: how to stack both in one run, so that they are aligned??
@rvoykin
@rvoykin 8 месяцев назад
Just put all the frames in at the same time with WBPP and it’ll know what to do. Just make sure that exposure tolerance is lower than the difference. For example, if your main images are 120 seconds and your core image are 10 seconds, you have to make sure that the tolerance is less than 110 which I believe it defaults to a much lower number might even be 1. You’ll know it’s working because it’ll show it as two different stacks under your lights. Add the lights at the dark so you can probably use the same flats, depending on when you shot them and you’ll be good to go

Very nice video as always. Did you do a Narrowband Normalization before the GHS? I noticed you highlighted it at 8:55 and then the video jumped to GHS. Excellent end result.

I don’t really use the tool much anymore. I was showcasing it because it was still relatively new when this episode came out I think now the direction was to use it after stretching but when it first came out the original launch video by the creator of the tool mentioned linear or non-linear and then I think it ends up working better after the stretch

Is GraXpert supposed to replace DBE or supplement it?? Asking for a friend 😂
@darkrangersinc
@darkrangersinc 8 месяцев назад
Replace now that it’s all in one place and easier I’m switching. I think it was always a little bit better, but it wasn’t worth the headache of having to go into another program for me. I don’t really ever have bad gradient with most of my images because I usually have a ton of data this one didn’t have as much Integration time but still didn’t have bad issues

If it’s the one you need to copy and paste, because the way RU-vid shortens it you probably have to click on it. Wait for it to open and then copy and paste it from the website.

You're not explaining in depth what's happening with those sliders and why you're choosing them the way you are. Bad video.
