Some HDR grading test of Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K footages that previously shot. If you have subscribed my channel, you probably found that most of my uploaded video are rendered in HDR. But to be honest, I'm not sure which HDR format is the most user-friendly, and I often receive comments about blown out image while the video itself actually wasn't. So I'll be appericate if you give me some feedback about HDR grading.

Looks like the automatic SDR conversion will try to white clips anything above 300 nits. Which look the best to you, 300, 500, 1000, or HLG? It will be great if you also tell which TVs/monitors/device watched on. HLG version: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-__2XXSrN-fQ.html

The 1000 nits version looks super nice and significantly better on my HDR 10 phone

Do you have a blog or anything where you talk about your HDR grading process?

I believe 1000 nits and 3000 nits are most common on feature films.

I was complaining how the HDR looks on my tv,the colors looks washed but now I Know that 1000 nits or beyond is the way to watch HDR content,my tv its a Samsung NU8000 and the peak HDR brightness is 500 nits,I can see better the difference on my Galaxy S9

I'm watching at work on a crappy monitor and the best is 300 nits. Everything else is WAY too saturated, everything above 300 nits looks like it was filmed with a box of crayola.

500 and 1000 are way better at least on the OnePlus 8T hdr screen.

I see them both; your screen can't hit the higher nit value.
