Ryoma had a bad run in his previous life. However, three gods decide to offer him a second chance in a magical fantasy world. Anime: By the Grace of the Gods
I feel like there’s a lot that goes into how this isekai anime stands out: 1) The main character starts as a child, and we follow their time as a child instead of just a time skip into adult. We see MCs instantly growing up to fighting age so we can have cool battle scenes, but this is literally just an 8 year old, with a 30 year old’s mind and strength, and we get to see that happen. 2) The character isn’t making a name for himself, or “not trying to but does so anyway.” He’s innovating to carve out a humble but successful life for himself. He isn’t fighting huge monsters to saving everyone from a crisis, he’s just doing it to make a living. The biggest moments for him are when he advances slime evolution, because he’s innovating in a foreign world, and it’s potentially profitable. 3) His reincarnation isn’t just a one-time mentioned thing, it actually comes up as topics he thinks about, and with the reoccurring god meetings, it’s actually relevant. And we actually get to see the MC lose his original life as he becomes more of a child. 4) His slime taming isn’t overpowered, nor is his strength overpowered. Yes, they’re strong, but strong enough to make things convenient rather than obliterate everything that dares challenge him. He’s an adept fighter, but he isn’t built to be a fighter. He’s an innovator who just so happens to selectively breed slimes, like an farmer testing out his own GMOs to make life easier for everyone.
@@sugarkane1571 Also no fanservice. I normally don't mind since I know what I signed for, but it can get very annoying when it does not add anything to the story except cringe. There has been animes with young protagonists and uncalled fanservice.
Spoilers The funniest/scariest part Is that ryoma in the manga was apparently secretly being manipulated by the God of Earth, who was trying to get him become super strong and force him to snap just to see what happens…… And ryoma was so good hearted that he died to a sneeze long before he came close to snapping. The muscleman who was supposed to go mad, died peacefully in his sleep by chance. Hell, in the story he went from hermit to sewage cleaner to laundromat. God of earth must be pissed.
I’ve been reading the manga but didn’t realize he was manipulated to snap, I honestly just the the god just forced him to get ripped through hellish training
@@holiday991 as a matter of fact yes a pair of cursed swords forged by his grandfather, they're cursed because whoever sees them is instantly filled with the intense desire to steal them to the point that they are willing to commit extreme acts of violence and or murder in order to obtain them, one of the reasons reoma is has such high mental resistance has is that he has had those in his house his entire time but has had no real desire for them, think of them as the Sword version of the one ring from Lord of the Rings and you get the general idea
@@theeharkness ohhhh i was told its demons trying to get out i was 5 when i was told so i believed it forgot about it until now and then just said bless you i do not go to any churchs or cult meetings l
I've read the light novels, and there is a lot going on in the plot that the anime didn't touch upon. Like Ryoma was super unlucky before he died. To the point of being suspicious.
@@christopherbreeden5343 The Manga is only up to chapter 34-and ends just before they go tame the birds. The anime is actually further along than the manga-The Light Novel would be the best way to read past the point of the anime.
I remember reading this manga, but due to network problems i had to switch phones and lost all my bookmarked manga and what not, I have been wanting to read this again and didn't even know there was an anime! Thank you so much.
Thank you ❤ this where the reason me and my grandson had storytelling time when he would stay and not all killing and backstabbing people ,so we enjoyed them where the next part ?
I feel like the beginning was a good start but it started heading down the mountain. Towards the end it got worse, meaning it lacks plot. I don't understand, did he just get reincarnated just show he can successfully make his own business and get rich? I was hoping for a OP scene of him fighting more monsters.
This is a slice of life anime about a guy and his slimes. If you want to see epic fights involving slimesz watch "That time I got reincarnated as a slime".
Does everyone agree that Aliria and Ryoma are crushing on each other? I’m going to be upset if they don’t start going out when/if another season comes out.
How are there so goddamn many of these weirdly entrepreneurial isekai shows??? Even the ones where it's not the focus of the story, the MC always seems to have a bunch of "I'm gonna do a capitalism!" side-hustles going on. 🤨
The only shurefireway to create a cleaner slime not to attract them. All slimes start out as basic with no abilitys but depending on what you feed them they can become a specific type like feeding a slime filty bath water in order to clean it and become a cleaner slime. I imagine that it also has something to do with soap?
@@ArchivedFox You couldn't be more wrong, even in Harry Potter magic has to be used responsibly, and worked on. Magic saps stamina, and in some shows it can have secondary effects that can affect the wielder.
