im an old man and we may have had vhs and poor video quality,but we didn't know it because we had not seen hi def. but one thing we did have. great music and great artists ,which is more than i can say about todays music.

So many things in this video to comment on. Thanks for the reaction. Hee Haw ran from 1969 to 1997. Many great performers appeared on that show over the years. I'd suggest checking out some of Roy Clark (he was the host of Hee Haw over the run of the show and amazing guitarist.) You may have already done one of his songs. I love the idea of a comedy reaction to Minnie Pearl. (She was the lady with the hat.) She first appeared on radio shows and then was on Hee Haw for years. As to Don Williams. Many great mostly mellow songs. This and Miracles are my favorite Don Williams songs, so I was thrilled to see this reaction come up. Most of his songs are really mellow. "Tulsa Time" is one of (for him) more up tempo songs, and "Good Ole Boys Like Me" is a good example of a ballad by him.

when reacting to songs, I think one should always listen to the studio version. Rarely are live versions better and often worse. Studio guitar work is different and much better than live, voice is cleaner and mixes are to standard in studio. BTW, Don is gone but his hits live on!

Don grew up in my home town. Went to school with his nephew who has the same name as me. I got tired of people asking me my whole life if he was really my uncle, I'd tell them, no, it's the other Mark. Lol.

Looking over you older vids now. Sorry, not sorry. Heheh. Don Williams is one of the greats! This 49 year old Southern man hard rock and metal fan LOVES his songs! And…I honestly always end up with a lil something in my eye when his songs play. Heh The lyrics of this one though are my personal fave! Beautiful! All of it!
