The story of the Tekken games is the story of the Mishima family drama. Tekken 1 : Kazuya comes to the first tournament to kill dad by tossing him off a cliff, and then takes over the company. Tekken 2 : Heihachi survives and enters the second tournament to take back his company and definitely kill his son by volcano. Tekken 3 : 20 years later Heihachi uses his grandson, Jin as bait for a fighting monster and then kills him too. Tekken 4 : Plot Twist, Kazuya and Jin survived, because Devil Gene, and the 3 gens have family bonding with punching. Tekken 5 : Heihachi gets blown up by Kazuya's robot army, Jinpachi comes back after 40 years of death and takes over the company leaving Jin to re-kill his great grandfather, and take over the company. Tekken 6 : Jin starts WW3 to kill the alien origin of the Devil Gene, oh and Heihachi comes back to take the company back(again), leaving Jin badly hurt. Tekken 7 : Heihachi and Kazuya have one last climatic clash, all while the spectre of Heihachi's wife haunts them, because Devil Gene. Heihachi dies, for real this time. Tekken 8 hasn't come out but everyone knows it's gonna be about Jin versus Kazuya, last devil/man standing wins. Also Heihachi is the worst relative ever. In order, he kills his father for growing a conscious and stop making weapons. Then he kills his wife cause she was trying to stop his rise to evil. Then he tosses his son, aged 5, off a cliff for maybe being a demon. Side note he adopted another kid, just to fawn over him and snub Kazuya. 20 years Tekken 1 then 2 happen where he kills Kazuya by volcano(he got better). 20 years later he uses his grandson Jin as bait for a monster and when Jin kills the beast showing off his demonic powers, Heihachi kills him too, by gunshot to his face(he also got better). Yes, he has killed at one point all his family, what a dick. Then they all came back as demons.

We don't know yet if Heihachi survives being thrown in the volcano, especially since his VA passed away.

Honestly I can’t wait till you get to the second half of the season. Shit goes hard

This battle's music is probably the most underrated of the season. It's so bouncy and fun and harkens back to the old soundtracks of classic fighting games. I'd honestly love to see you do a reaction to Death Battle music. There are some SERIOUS bangers. Please do consider it!

Technically, the volcano dip did kill Kazuya, but the local rival conglomerate brought him back to life with the genetic material left behind. How anything was left behind after that is anyone's guess. As for Heihachi... I mean, he should be dead after that, but I wouldn't put it past him to have some sort of back-up plan.

So Heihachi is voiced by the same voice actor (who tragically passed away a few years back) that did the Japanese dub of Dragon Ball's own Mr. Satan. The side by side comparison of goofball to beyond impossible human standard by most normal means even for anime or Japan in general is crazy.

not sure how you got the idea that this was a stomp, the numbers presented in the analysis for both strength and speed were basically dead even, with a slight strength advantage for Geese and a 2x speed advantage for Geese as well. This is actually the most heavily debated modern episode of Death Battle as to whether it is correct or not, mainly due to literally every forum and page I've looked at saying that the meteor feat the robots is wrongly calculated, inflated and got higher numbers than it should. However, the storm feat done by Jinpachi which they put in the black boxes of the verdict seems alright, so I personally think it is correct. so technically I guess you got it right for the wrong reasons again hehe rooting for you to get more right for the right reasons either way

Fun fact. A newcomer to Tekken 7 named Shaneen beat base form Kazuya. Scaling in tekken is weird. Even Miguel(Just some guy who was angry his sister died.) Could have killed the protag but said Jin wasnt happy enough to die and he would be back to take everything from him.

I kinda hate how this episode flanderized Geese's character. because all the engrish aside, he is genuinely a terrifying, ruthless and badass crime lord. the song that plays during the match is really lit though, especially since it uses leitmotifs of "Soy Sauce for Geese" (Geese Howard's iconic theme song) and Heat Haze Shadow 2 (THE best song in Tekken 7). Also, speaking of Tekken 7, it's kind of a shame that they went with sprites because both Geese and Heihachi were in Tekken 7 and the last Tekken related Death Battle to use 3d models (Ryu vs Jin Kazama) had some genuinely stellar animation.

So the hard soft thing. A lot of traditional karate styles could be grouped into hard or soft styles. Oversimplifying hard relies on meeting your opponent head on and out striking him, while soft relies on using his own energy against him. Like Jujutsu when you throw someone your using the momentum of their attacks to break their balance and it requires little effort on your part if done right. In, well it's not Japanese but the most obvious, Boxing, your just trying to out punch your opponent for the most part. Some Japanese styles use both hard and soft philosophies so they are called hard-soft styles like Isshin-ryū. Again, I'm simplifying, just about every style now a days has both elements in it but that's the jist. Actually in this Haihachi is using a very hard style made to just overpower his opponent where as Geese has all those parry throws which is a very soft technique. Honestly though as much as I love Geese (he's just a huge a-hole and it's really entertaining how comically evil he is) Haihachi is the better fighter as Tekken's story is more bonkers. Also Geese's son is Rock and Haihachi has a bear he taught martial arts and keeps as a bodyguard(see bonkers)

Surviving a volcano isn't particularly hard, assuming you have a sufficient resistance to heat, fall impact and lack of oxygen, which your average video game character possesses. Lava is very dense, so most organisms can't actually sink into it. It's like thick putty and extremely hot to touch. The trope where people sink into it (like Gollum) like it's water is plain unrealistic. In reality it'd be a hard impact followed by a slow burn.

Kind of makes you wonder who the protagonist really is when it comes to Tekken.
