2:40 He’s addressing the people that judge his music without understanding it. He just used Lil Yachty as an example because he was trendy at the time… Eminem’s music has far more replay value because of the depth that it possesses. You WONT catch everything on first listen because of all of the entendres. His flows are incredible (especially in his younger years). And his Rhyme schemes are something else ENTIRELY. He’s a true MC & wordsmith. A talent that many rap fans don’t appreciate nowadays.

He is dissing, almost in order: Online reactors Mumble rappers Journalists Donald Trump Especially because the reviews of his album "Revival" (considered too pop because of many featuring with pop artists) and the Cypher, where he drew a line in the sand to devide his fanbase between the ones who follow Trump (so they can leave him) and the others. Rumors has that somebody from Trump's entourage reached him to be sure his threats were just figurative.

This was after the bloggers and podcast hosts were trashing his album "Revival"! Then he moves on to diss mumble rap! Joe Budden, Charlamain & DJ Akademics who are all friends BTW....went and trashed Ems album without really listening to it! They used Eminem's name to boost their ratings! Thats when it became popular to diss Eminem and his music!!! Em was shouting out rappers that actually write their own lyrics! Eminem came at them hard because all of a sudden these young mumble rappers were going on interviews dissing him! Thats when Mgk started to say crap about Eminem in interviews and then dissed him in a song he did with Tech N9ne. Eminem was getting hit from all sides! His album "Revival" went Platinum but it was considered a failure by all the media!!!

At the time 2017/8 mainstream rap was dominated by lean rap which probably garnering a lot more attention for it's newness and weirdness meanwhile his prior album got shit on unfortunately and he thought real rap and rappers weren't getting their due.
