@@JosiahFickinger Biblically, we are called to sow the seed….the seed is the Word of God. It is us, followers of Christ,who are to be like Christ and ‘sow” - Share and speak the Word of God. If the seed falls to good ground and not trampled by the wayside, the Holy Spirit will till the ground that seed is on. The Holy Spirit will till the heart and bring conviction and a desire for repentance. The Holy Spirit is always a part of one coming to salvation through Jesus Christ.

This is more about what the Pharisees would do cruel to the common Jews to make them fearful and control them. This is in no way a proof of "hell". duh. Jesus Christ met me in a cold jail cell, while I was enduring horrific heroin withdrawals. Throwing up blood, even vomiting on myself because I didn’t have the strength to move. He helped me through it, and He’s kept me clean for over 7 years. In my addiction I was so callous, blamed God for everything and kept a victim mentality. I hated myself and the life I had created. When I read about Saul, on the road to Damascus and eagerly learned of him becoming Paul, I knew that there was hope for me! I’m sorry to write you a book 🤦🏾‍♀️ 😂 I love you & am praying for you. I think sometimes people are caught off guard and it affects their responses… and our culture almost idolizes these types of responses. I see a lot of sarcasm in the church, too, and we all need these reminders of how much more becoming it is to have a gentle response to others.

Look up the movie called Gago - Pardoned by Grace. Based on the true story of an addict and what God did in his life. I think you'll find it encouraging. 🙏💝 Trust in the Lord with All your heart. Ask God to show you the way out when tempted. Have some of the ways out listed and follow them when craving. Submit to Him; give Him your body every time you crave the chemicals. Walk away. Get busy doing the Lord's work. Fall on your face and pray. Jesus says that He came to set the captives free. Claim that and act on it. God bless you & keep you. God make His face to shine upon you and give you peace. Amen.

Father God, I ask and pray that You will strengthen and encourage and deliver this man from any bondage of addiction that is trying to keep him bound. Lead him to know your love for him and to remind him that whom the Lord set free is free indeed (John 8:36). Please increase his hunger for Godly wisdom and reading and hearing and following Your Word thereby helping him to walk in the newness of life that he can truly testify to Your saving grace and goodness and Your propritiation and sacrifice on the cross that PAID the price for our sins by saying that it is finished, and that if we repent of our sins and sincerely place our faith in Jesus Christ and believe in His death on the cross, burial in the tomb and resurrection from the dead 3 days later, we can receive Salvation and be Born Again through His Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost, living inside of us. I ask and pray this in Jesus name. Amen.

Praying for you also!! I just wanted to say that God delivered me from a heroin addiction I had for years. I was living on the street, in and out of jail. I should be dead, truly. I watched so many around me pass. But here I am, eight years later with a beautiful family and purpose. You can do this! God is with you also, you just need to reach out to him. ❤

That's what prayers are for, TO change things. While God does know the end from the beginning, what the end would be like for someone if that person's end were right now versus what the end would be like, say..., a year from now because of prayers for that person can be dramatically different.

@@gnpgnp5281 respectfully, I think you miss my point. If God knows how everything will end since he is all knowing, then how can ones prayers or lack of there of make a difference. For instance God knows how my day tomorrow will be, yet I don’t. God knows if I will pray tonight and thus my future is written. If I “chose” not to pray versus if I “chose” to pray, it will have no bearing on my future since it’s already been determined by God. Ie whatever I was going to do has already been decided by God and whatever happens tomorrow has already been decided by God and thus praying is useless. You cant change the future through prayer or lack of prayer since God already knows which one you’ll do and he already knows the future. What seems like a choice to you is a necessary step in “his plan” for the universe and thus will always occur. Additionally, can you please tell me how prayers allow for divine intervention. I’ve been praying that my terminally ill aunt gets better and so far that isn’t happening. Does God hate my aunt? Does God not love my aunt enough to heal her? Is it necessary for my aunt to die so he can have his grand plan fulfilled. And if so why bother praying because, again, Gods plan is already written.
