Fun fact: The actors have tripled in size. In the crowd scene from above they were shot three times and then faded, in the close scenes they are in different costumes several times. These are LARP players who have or can organize an appropriate costume collection.
Well done Ladies, now you shall look to FEUERSCHWANZ....Warriors of the World united. In this Video you can see Alea(Singer from Saltio Mortis) Melissa Bonny and Thomas Winkler.Greetings from Germany🤘🤘🤘
As for Saltatio Mortis' videos, by now I have the idea that once a year or so they invite over their cosplaying and/or LARP friends and are having a blast. But they definitely outdid themselves with this one. The huge muscular bad guy is Tetzel. He is a bodybuilder, strongman and singer of the metal bands "Asenblut" and "All for Metal". Fun fact: In the resurrection scene, when Alea (the singer and protagonist in this video) was lifted in the air, Tetzel and several other guys actually pulled him up (off camera) on a rope.
The song is set in the game world of the Elder Scrolls games. The hunter they pray to is Hircine, a kind of god (the lore of the world is a bit complicated) of the hunt, who is also the "father" of werewolves. In the chorus, the band chants "ai vis lo loup", which means "I see the wolf" in a old french dialect. It's also the title of a medieval french song which is kind of a standard for bands playing at ren fairs (as Saltatio Mortis do, too). So it's a nice little easter egg.
The video is based on the Elder Scrolls Online, an MMORPG. The Elf and horn-helmed warrior at the end are the Altmer (High-Elf) and Nord Heroes, who represent the players in their respective in-game alliances for the cinematic trailers for the game (Alea takes the place of the Breton Hero). The original trailers had them all fighting against each other, since the alliances were enemies in the story, but with each expansion they've basically become an adventuring team. The cinematic trailer for the High Isle expansion is where most people would recognise them from, it's one of the best trailers they have so far.
Their latest Single “Finsterwacht“ just came out a few days ago. You definitely should check it out! I recommend to read the lyrics beforehand, it’s in German without subtitles 😅 Edit: There’s a video with subtitles now!
As a side note here, the huge guy is Tim "Tetzel" Schmidt from the band Asenblut. He is the singer of Asenblut and a bodybuilder, he is literally 1 handing a 2 hand sword.
Honestly. Go and try Saltatio Mortis: Finsterwacht. It's got English subtitles now and it's featuring Blind Guardian. (As the latter originally are from my Hometown, I somehow feel obliged to speak up for them. Not that they needed it...) It's visually amazing and musically also very good. :)
Greetings from the dark forests of Germany, may I leave a request? Its a band that sounds like 30s Hollywood Movies.....The Vision Bleak - Wolfman! If you like the old fashioned Movies, this Band is for you!
Hey Ladies, great channel, great work. 👍 Try 'Eulenspiegel' live from Wacken Open Air 2017. It is a awesome Show from Saltatio Mortis. Stay tuned. ❤ Greetings from Germany.🤘
