Oh my God that's a lot of work, and it's just his bare hands no machinery. This is what is called talent! This man is really talented and creative. Keep up the good work and God bless you. We really do have great talents here, a lot of our people are highly talented, and he didn't go anywhere to learn. Can you imagine! Awesome indeed 🙏🙏👏👏👍👍.
What a joy to watch! This man is bursting with talent and experience. To see him do this, no machine in sight, fills me with admiration. He is obviously a clever and creative man who respects the earth the works with. Blessings to him for using his skills and creativity to educate his children and take care of his family. God bless the good lady who stands beside him. May your business continue to flourish. Never change what you do or how you do it. You are a Caribbean treasure!
I am in awe of this man's work with his bare hand. This is hard work in the hot sun without any machine. Pray that God continue to bless him and his wife. Thanks for showcasing Jamaica and the wonderful work these folks are doing.
Mr. Isiah is very talented. He needs to pass on these skills to the younger ones in the community so they can carry them on. Good to see another hard-working Jamaican man that took care of his family and was able to make money from his skills and send his children to school. Great video!
You should teach the lesson to younger generations yes Bridgette the ppls in North American us machine to spin the clay build the products however he use natural resources to make his by products and it look amazing blessing and gratitude
Nuff respect for Wellesley brings us another educational and talented individual that is self-taught in making pottery. Jamaican exceptionally skilled. Mr Isaiah should have training school teach this Pottery making. 👏🙌🇯🇲🇯🇲🕺😇👍🥂💖👀
Wellesley congratulation once more for highlighting Jamaica’s crafts, and talents. Mr. Isaiah needs to allow different Schools to visit his workshop to learn the skill. He needs to launch out in making cooking pots. People in Morocco, Mexico, and other countries use them too. He could even make Spoon rest, utensil holders, trivets, etcs. This gentleman is super talented and was just waiting to get some exposure. He needs a craft store for his pottery. Wellesley Keep Up The Good Work. Blessings.
Again another awesome vidio. Jamaica is not short on talent, give them the opportunity and watch them trive. And to the host you're such a down to earth person, always making your guess feel relaxed and comfortable no airs about you my fellow country man. Awesome couple they're both so knowledgeable about what they do. Like Miss Isaiah said the only problem is the crime. He should try and pass on that valuable craft to a male relative or another trusted young person who wants to learn. Great job. Nice to see Bridget lending her support and enjoying the whole thing. Big up all. T
I love Bridgette, she seems to be at home away from cold Connecticut into the warmth of the Island and enjoying it. Indeed, we are one family under God
God says which of the favors of your Lord will you deny, and God has certainly favored this brother with amazing skills, and I hope he will be able to pass these skills to his children, grandchildren. And if they're not interested in leaning then hopefully the children in his community will inherit his knowledge.
Thank you for another very outstanding video. You are giving Jamaica a lot of exposure. I would love to suggest that you do a documentary of your travels throughout our beautiful island. Outstanding and down to earth. Keep up the good work 👏.
Mrs an Mrs isaiah very very good nice to see and no there is people around can do these things we need young people to take up this work so it can go onto generation
This man should be teaching the art to a group of students to make sure it continues, the private sector should invest is this for export, bless you and your wife for the original pottery,Jah guide and protect ..
Wellesley thanks once again for highlighting all the persons of talent around the Island.Hopefully Mr Isiah will be able to get help if he needs it to expand his business and hopefully pass his skills on to youngsters who want to learn good skills. Its wonderful to witness his passion and the pride that he has doing his work. Hope that he will have continued success.
This man is very natural ànd gifted. To do this with your hands without a machine is very unique. If I was in Jamaica by all mean I would have to visit him.
Wow...so much work...what amazing talent...I will treasure my local Nevis clay articles even more!!! The Christian Bible mentions "The Potter and the clay". Congrats...One Love.✌🏾🌹💛
Hello the gentleman is brilliant. God bless him an his wife. Jamaican has alot of talent. I look what u are doing to showcase these person. Blessing to an yr staff.❤❤❤
I. Had a brother named Rocky who used to make those pots its a lot of time and patiences that goes into making a pot after from 5he klin they are glazed what a beauty when they are finished may God give strength to continue many of the youths that are causing havoc in the community should be doing something like this but then again the Government should have implemented that it's a must go learn a trade
This is a art unto itself man. I would like to suggest for the summer to have a summer camp of pottery making from worldwide where his student can come to Jamaica for the summer and learn this incredible craft. Please this gentle man to do this, he would create jobs for the air B&B in the area. Please please it is such a great cultural experience. Bridgette could be the bridge in starting the process. With the cashew they should roast them and packaged and ship to other Caribbean island. That way, we can help our brothers in Jamaica. He has two incredible products to work with. FANTASTIC.
TMH continue to BARAK (bless)you my brother. The elder generation have so much to offer the younger generations. Jamaican we are people of the soil our forefathers Abraham,Isaiah and Jacob were mighty man of YAH. Turn back to your creator. Mr. Isaiah YAHUAH continue to BARAK (bless) you and your entire family. Your name said it all.❤❤❤🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Wow so amazing what people can do..very creative .and some people don't want to do nothing very good..what is for you is for you your creatuons.blessings proud of you mr Isaiah 🙏🙏🙏
When I was a youth in bush bush Portland, the clay was used to hold the glass pane in the window frame. Once dried it could last forever. This is a good woman; she boost her husband self-worth.
WOW Wesley, another amazing find!!!! Jamaica is loaded with creative talented people. I cannot believe that Mr. Isiah doesn't use a potters wheel!!! This SHOCKED me to the core!!! The raw talent is truly unmatched anywhere!!! He is indeed SPECIAL!! But Wesley your commentary was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I was in awe at the talent but dying with laughter at your expressive commentary. Jamaican tourist board should hire you because you are a national treasure 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Two questions: 1: can colored pigment be added to creat other colors. For instance, can a blue pigment be added to the clay during creation to add speckles of color? 2: if a pot gets broken, can it be reused (broken down and added to other clay). Or is it the fact that once it has been fired it cannot be reconstituted and reused. 3: what about rainy weather? How do they remain durable and intact if they are constantly being drenched by rain?
No you cannot add color before it fired, but you can always paint it afterwards or put vanished of any color you like..... for your second question the answer is no once the pot is broken it cannot be reuse... once the pot is fired it is durable enough to stand any weather so if it gets a lot of water it is ok the pot itself absorb the water like the earth.
Nuff respect to all involved. Mr. Isaiah’s art is deeply imbedded in his heart. H.E.A.R.T. Should contact him to make this ( pottery) art a part of their program & pay him for every student that he teaches, just like the other teachers who get paid at H. E. A. R. T.
HE SHOULD INVITE SCHOOLS, OTHER INSTITUTIONS TO VISIT FOR A DAY SO THEY CAN C THAT THERE R SO MANY PROFESSIONS IN JAMAICA N NOT ALL OF THEM U HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL FOR I WISH MR.N MRS ISAIAH ALL THE BEST MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS THEM
The potter speaks very clearly, with a lovely, slow intonation. I have difficulty in understanding the interviewer, I fear. I will have to listen to more Jamaicans, I think.
Hello Family! Brother @ My Island Jamaica, I always enjoy your videos of your tours around the island. With some very interesting places and people. I love those pots that that gentleman makes they’re beautiful!! Very nice! How can we buy some in Jamaica?
