It makes my blood boil how the police will attend any call from a large company with security, but when a member of the public is burgled they just get a crime number.

It's remarkable how hurt their ego is when they realize and learn that they are totally powerless to stop you from filming and flying your drone. I will admit it is one of the reasons why I watch these kinds of videos.

Mate well done you had them all over the shop. The baffled expressions said it all at the end .

They just have no idea how to deal with a polite, well-informed person. Thank you for not being one of those rude ‘auditors’ who yells and swears. I love that no matter how many people start spouting the wrong information about what you can and cannot do, you do not get flustered or feel under pressure. In fact your confidence has grown where you can hear the fun you get out of the interaction. I find myself sniggering at their frustrations as they realise they cannot stop you, even though they cannot understand why.

In law you take your victim as you find them. For instance, if a blind person was to walk past the sign that says no entrance and fell down a hole, or was to trip on an unfinished pavement or road way the contactor would be liable. Just saying.

So sad that people have to call the police for someone acting in a perfectly legal manner, even sadder that the police respond to such calls.

Man ive got so much respect for you, you must have balls of steel, even the Police can stop you, i was asked to do a flight over a site by the site project manager to give them an aerial view they were so pleased they asked me to do there second site, and the fact that they dont own the airspace above there property is something that pees them off thanks for your great video. 👏👏👏👍.

Funny, actually the chap who explained about the rain water was ok. DJ gets a lot of stick off people but he’s educating people nonetheless and he’s able to make a living too. Can’t blame him, he’s better at what he does now than when he started and better than all the others that do it, simply because he chooses to educate himself. Interesting and abit of fun. Good stuff!

I always find it amusing/alarming when people wearing hi-Vis jackets, try so hard to flex on members of the public, trying to get police to inforce laws which don't exist and seemingly get let down/upset, when they are informed otherwise. Why would anyone try to get anyone banged up cause they're filming? Those with little opinions of themselves is one reason I can come up with. My grandfather had a saying about people like these guys. He referred to them as little Hitler's. I wouldn't wish jail on anyone when there is no victim. Good on ya DJ for bringing us great content.

This audit was excellent. They way you schooled guy with hard hat under his arm and papers in the hand was just sooooo good. I watch it like 3 times! He crumbled under the weight of your valid arguments (about geo zones,CAA controlling airspace and not business owner). And it’s the way you say it. Not raising voice, name calling or being belligerent! Well done on this audit! Could you stick link on audit on MTC business here, please?

As said many times; why do the Police react and react fast to big business, and then when as an individual you request thier help, you get told to busy go away.

Once he started talking about the rain water collection, he seemed like a decent chap. He's not used to anyone giving a shit about his job :)

So on the police car bonnet it says non emergency dial 101. WHY are the police attending for a non emergency? Ffs report this to the chief constable! Demand WHY this unit attended so quickly!

The body language with the security guy is interesting from 36:44, he argues about drone footage over private property thinking he's got it, then looks to his colleague for confirmation after DJ explains that the CAA control airspace then comes unstuck when his colleague provides no assistance. Look carefully as he then waltzes up to the copper adopting the same hands-in-pockets stance the copper is displaying both turn their backs on DJ when he approaches, both are clearly stumped and then the whole situation is concluded.

I learnt what I didn't know about Rain Water Harvesting, I like the way the Site Manager was more reasonable as the video went on.

Excellent vid. highlighting the ignorance of others towards legal photography in public spaces, however the land may be in private ownership though as long as the footpath is part of a road or highway maintained at public expense no probs. It might be worth checking out before filming that the road is a dedicated public highway and one clue would be if it has a street name and street lighting etc.

Another great video Audit 👍 educating employees the Law on Auditing and Flying of Drones in Air Space. Its still amazing that when members of the public phone the police and say "There is a person with a camera filming my business building and flying a Drone over my business that the police 🚔 attend. When what the police should be saying is "Its a legal activity so not a police matter" 🤔 Trespassing is also a Civil matter, police only need to attend if thier is a public order offence, or a breach of the peace. PINAC Always cracks me up when you get people walking up to an Auditor using a video 📹 camera and they say "Don't Film Me" 😆😄 love the Drone footage it really makes the auditing better and completes the story 👏👍

Brilliant to see someone who has a genuine interested in modern architecture, implementation of new “green” building technologies and local business infrastructure! Also seeing someone exercise and know their rights must be helpful to the local authorities (they can sometimes get it wrong)! I would like to know why it seemed like every single individual encountered in the video (apart from the security guard) was trying to hide something and on the defense!?!!

Criminal Justice Act 1972 sec 33, For the definition of “public place” Public place” includes any HIGHWAY and any other premises or place to which at the material time the public have or are permitted to have access, whether on payment or otherwise ”. Its really this simple.

That guy in hi vis needs to know you could legally park your car on his driveway and there's nothing he could do about it.

Getting the security guard to phone the police? The security guard isn't trespassing you, he is, so, why is he involving a third party, he's trespassing you, and hasn't he got a mobile to call the police? And, I always thought, only the owner can trespass you off his/her land. The answer to his question is you can walk onto any land if the property is not barred by a lock gate/door of some type. Then, if the owner wants you to leave, they will ask you to leave, and then if you don't it becomes a trespass. The police do that all the time walks into people's houses, that's why you can ask them to leave, or it's best to keep your doors, windows, and gates locked at all times. If you walk into a police station and there's no one thereafter ringing the bell if the doors are not locked, what's stopping you from opening any door to get their attention? Why do people think, in a police station the doors are mostly or always locked? It's not trespass until the owner tells you, its trespass, who owns the police station, courts, council buildings, etc? That's why they have security measures in place for that very reason. if you were to walk into an unlocked door, it would put them into a panic because someone has not followed protocol, and someone would be reprimanded for their lack of correct procedure.

We don't see police presence in our area much nowadays. Anti social behaviour, fly tipping and poor road driving behaviour is a real issue. The police are under resourced as it is without people who are completely ignornat of the rights of a member of public, putting further demands on those resources. Makes my blood boil : /

Perhaps you may sometimes want to have a high-visibility jacket to hand for some places. Maybe it helps get past the potential "on site" rubbish, I don't know. Related to another video of yours.

i love the fact they keep saying security but the supposed security officer has no SIA License on show which by law he has to when ever working and would get instantly sent home if SIA turned up for a site inspection

I built a rain water harvesting system in my shed along side my own mini power station. It's not difficult to do and doesn't stagnate as long as it's kept in the dark. I use a first flush system followed by a sand filter and then collection into 2x 150L tanks. If you add 30ml of sodium hypochlorite ( AKA bleach ) then it would be perfectly drinkable but I also have my own Doulton ceramic water filter system too. If we have a power cut then I am the only person left in my block with lights and power !!!

Fair play to the copper, he wasn't "belligerent" or tyrannical and was relatively pleasant and probably told the guys from the companies that he couldn't do much. And fair play to the site manager for Cadent when he switched on to a subject he knew something about he was quite informative and pleasant, he was only became belligerent over subjects he had little knowledge of. :-) And as for the MTC guys - what absolute dickheads.

As someone who works in construction that road is open up until the fencing. Unless they have a gate manager at the end of the road to allow people in and out means it is open to the public. And the guy who called the police clearly has something to hide
