Fun vid Jadyn. As long as you think about safety, you will stumble through and learn a lot. Great experience. Jex seems level headed. BTW, if you ever have an electrical issue again where you need to turn off. Find the breaker panel either inside or outside the building and try to locate the breaker (like a switch) and turn if off. that will stop the electricity to whatever it is you want to turn off. You came out ok but would have been best to do that first and then figure out how to unstick the button. They may call the breakers something different in other countries but most all developed countries have them. They are safety devices to prevent fires and other dangerous things. You probably even have them on your sailboat. Your Dad can show you and explain. Live and learn. Keep having fun and showing us. Stay safe.

Good idea Jadyn, go with your gut and if you feel a little "tense" about traveling alone especially the first time you have done this, phone a friend!!! Good to see you having such a good time..

I regret that my social anxiety prevented me from mingling in hostels, back in the day. For me, those were stressful experiences, and I've actually never made any friends then. I missed out on endless possibilities. I'm glad you're taking advantage of it! You're the kind of person I wish I would have allowed myself to meet. Happy new year, Jadyn!

That was fun! Someday I want to visit Switzerland.

FYI Switzerland is one of the safest countries in Europe and possibly the world. It is a premier tourist destination all year around and has some of the most famous and expensive ski destinations in the world. It is very expensive. As a teenage back packer I avoided it completely. As a successful business woman, I enjoyed it a lot. Lovely that you can call on friends and family to join you at short notice and that they can afford to do so. And finally, never try to “fix”electric components without turning the power off first, and never hike in winter conditions without being fully prepared.

It looks so amazing but please be careful, don’t push yourself to much lovely lady. I would be happier if you started to travel with others. Great experience 🤗

The best thing about hostels is that it forces you to mingle and meet great people from all over. The best hostel chain I've seen is 'Generator Hostels'.

Hey, I am from Germany and between Switz and German you hab some difference. Grützi means hello in Switzerland. It`s like an dialect of German but it is very different compared to German. Even I have issues to understand Switz people. In Germany you sag for hello: Hallo, Guten Tag, Moin.
