I'd love to see Shawn, Marlon and Keenen all make an appearance on poppas house together at some point. and if you don't know, poppas house is the new show coming to cbs starring Damon wayans and Damon wayans jr.
Saw a guy pull the "Cause I'm black" card at a McDonald's job interview. Was 2 of us there waiting our turn, me and another younger black guy 18-20ish, while the manager lady was "interviewing" the first black guy. I say "interviewing" because he was about 25-27 with zero work history, we could hear pretty much their entire convo especially his side, and kept interrupting her and acting insulted she was even asking him questions. After about 15 minutes she gives the standard "We have other interviews to do so we'll let you know in a day or two", you know cause there are 2 more of us waiting right there, and he instantly starts going off cussing her out and yelling "so a black man can't get a job" while there is literally 3 black folks working the counter. Needless to say he didn't get the job and while I did get it I can't help but wonder if he screwed over the younger black guy's chances. Edit: As my replies keep being hidden I'll no longer be attempting to do so. Yes this happened, my replies included rough dates, locations and co-workers' first names as well as the fact it was the black assistant manager that escorted the guy out.
Reminds me of when one of my longest friends did his interview for the target i met him at. He's half Korean, and a stoner. He came into the interview high, and got the job. I'll let ya fill in the blanks
This was back in 2010 so no on that first one (There was only one ethnic person as a Team Lead, her name was Dora, and she was better than the other Leads save her work husband and like one other dude), but the second one was half on the money. We got full time, but it was still minimum wage. Made it easy to have health insurance though as it was cheaper than the state
I was fired for being black. How did I ace every test and met the proper criteria for the job but you fired me😑❓Long story short, I got my job back since I worked 121 working days straight. She was pissed to see me. I worked my ass off to get to where I am today and she still despises me. She’ll be iight🥰
I was at a restaurant this black guy comes in after hours it was like an hour after close and asked for a drink and they said well they can't because it's after hours he pulled the race card on them right in front of everyone, I couldn't believe it and they served him
First time being ‘that guy’….. This casino janitor is being fired for gawking at a customers booty. But he is part of a very diverse group of men who are planning on robbing that same casino, so he cannot afford to lose his job. Obviously his excuse is not going to work, so the leader of the group tells him what to do… He comes back and gives his boss an apology card with money, which works and their robbery plan resumes. (P.s. this is a Coen brothers movie and although it was a bomb, it’ll grow on you with enough views. Tom Hanks is hilarious in this film too)
The fact that he pointed out that all his workers and his replacement will be black can actually be ammo for a lawsuit. A prosecutor could draw up Picasso, of a narrative, on that.
This is the first time I’ve seen a clip of this movie on any social media platform. I always assumed the movie was terrible my whole childhood because I didn’t like it and everyone I knew never heard of the movie.
