We were in Texas a lil while ago so we hit up Jaxson Hayes to see if he wanted to chill. Luckily he was down to link!!
If you don't already know, Jaxson has a wild story. He used play on the JV B team and get no burn. Now, he's about to be a one and done at Texas. Some people think he'll get drafted as high as 5 in the NBA draft. Either way he's DEF going lottery.
Jaxson showed us around campus, his dorm room, and what motivates him. We also met up with our guy Andrew Jones, another player for Texas who BEAT CANCER. Crazy.

facts they should put "only applies if ur 6'7+" in smallprint when they say a motivational nba underdog come-up story, pascal siakam unknown playing in cameroon 6'9, same with Joel embiid he also started playing ball very late 7'3, dennis rodman working as a janitor 6'8, alfonso mckinnie was playing fiba 3x3 not too long ago, impressed at a g league tryout and worked up from there 6'8, Jonathan simmons - $150 g league tryout, Steven adams playing all the way out in New Zealand where theres little scout attention - 7'0 etc etc its very rare to see a player in the range 5'9-6'1 have this kind of come up, can only think of Fred Vanvleet as a recent example.

Some people are getting real mad about Zion being in the title, but I see a decent reason for it. Connecting Jaxson with Zion lets people who don’t know him (Hayes) find him. People who only see the big headlines and don’t follow college ball in depth get to find other talent. This video followed Jaxson’s day only, and put his name in the title as well. They gave him the spotlight, I don’t think it’s all that bad.
