I agree…I think Carson will be fine…it’s not like the Chiefs are traditionally super run heavy anyway…you saw that last week when we were running the ball down the Bengirls throats and Chiefs went pass happy despite Kingsley struggling…
I think we are going to be just fine against ATL. Kelc gets his first touchdown this weekend. If not we have been winning games without kelc being targeted.
I’m actually pretty confident going into this game! The Falcons linebackers don’t look very good and Trav and Rice could really cook here and get Worthy open!
0:08 …you’re god damn right. Carson Steele didn’t come to the Chiefs and pass the Andy Reid test, just to ride the bench. His mental game is in the right place. I’m eager to see him bust a few long runs after contact.
The Falcons ran the ball _very_ successfully on the road against the Eagles this past Monday night. They are a much better team than they had been in recent seasons. KC is getting _every_ opponent's best shot each week. This will be a very tough match up for the KC defense.
@@rayhumber1931 Eagles are currently 27th against the pass, while the Chiefs are currently 31st. KC's defense is currently 18th against the run, while Philly is 25th. Let's not pretend that the KC pass rush is lighting up the scoreboard. KC has recorded 4 sacks in two games, while Philly has recorded 3. The Chiefs are currently ranked #29th in total defense, while the Eagles are ranked #30th. Given the above, KC has performed relatively similarly to Philadelphia, defensively.
I’d love to see Steele be a new generation Mike Alstott. Our defense against the pass has been super suspect ranking 29th with 531 yards against us. TEs are just absolutely torching us for no reason. I expect Pitts to be heavily utilized this week. I will always believe in Spags game plan though.
I really developed a huge respect for Cousins, especially from the Netflix QB season 1. My #2 QB to root for after 15. That being said, Jones sacks Cousins 3.5 times. I'm calling it.
Hopefully, they'll expand on that. "Big Nickel" is pretty much my favorite personnel grouping, because it's a fast grouping with punch, if you have a hard-hitting-and-tackling secondary with good size. Chiefs started out the season against the Ravens, so they kept 3 LBs out there, which I think was a big part of their struggles against the TEs. Anderson still gets extra attention from them, so it's hard to tell, but you get the impression watching them before and after Anderson returned to the lineup, that Isaiah Likely is a bigger threat. But Derrick Henry... I think Cincy kept them in base a lot, too, because of their strength at WR. That maybe doesn't sound right (and may not be), but facing Cincy's WRs, they don't have a DB to spare for minding the TEs. Anyway, as Hicks develops, I'm hoping to see more big nickel as an answer to 12-personnel. Right now, I think they're staying in base against 1 back and 2 TEs.
I think Carson can come in and get the needed yards. Hes shown that. He's received his first lesson in nfl ball security and will be looking to not fumble again. I also think we'll see alot more 3rd down and pass play Perine. Hoping for some nice screens/checkdowns so we can see what he does in space in a chiefs uniform. Hopefully passing game is stronger this week!
So many people got the Falcons upsetting the Chiefs, which ironically means no one is underestimating them anymore. It'll be a close game, but I believe the Chiefs will get the job done
it’s not just the defense. I feel like offense isn’t taking advantage of their number one overall even though there are some CB out there that are really good it’s just I want see Xavier worthy make some catches
I've been scared to be critical of Pacheco because everyone likes him so much. I like his determination but I feel like he should be more elusive. He's not a big back but he runs like one and takes a lot of big hits. Steele just needs to secure the ball and he'll be fine. He reminds me of Alstott when he gets those pads low. He can keep his balance after contact really well.
Perine is not heavy snap count rb material, he's best as a versatile back used situationally. I'm sure he'll see more touches as he gets acclimated to offense, but for right now rb by committee is the approach. None of the backs right now are suitable to be an undisputed all-purpose rb that will dominate the snap share while Pacheco is out.
@@legitdragon6202 agreed. Just don't overlook him over Steele is my main thing. Perine's experience is valuable. I think he could easily tote it 18 times in a game with a few of them through the air and yes, also using Steele but I would start Perine over Steele at this time, any day. Whatever the case, Go Chiefs!
Chiefs wont play it safe and win. We all know they use the season to test things, work on things and certain positions to get better. All so it clicks for the post season. So every game can be a close one
Its becoming a cliche' at this point, but Jones affinity for perfect timing QB pressure/sacks has literally secured at least 8 KC victories. It's preternatural. Chiefs know this. It's why Jones leaving KC was never actually a risk, or ever will be. He will retire a Chief, 100% certainty.
2 rotating LTs and no LT is basically the same. I find this stubbornness of the KC coaching staff of not simply lining up a TE on that side, be it to actually help block or at least bother on release, to simplify the pass protection quite baffling. And is not like it would be unherad of in a Chiefs offense, in 2022 it was basically routine to see a TE or RB chip on the right side to help Andrew Wylie. In that Bengals AFCCG they did CONSTANTLY.
Why? He's still underdeveloped and needs time, the Chiefs aren't in a position to be burning a bunch of roster spots on low-snap count development projects, they're going for another championship.
Chiefs need to be careful for sure. This game is the very definition of a trap game. The boys need to look at Atlanta with the same intensity the did Cincinnati. NO SLEEPING!
??? What happened to the Friday Live streams..I’ve noticed the Tuesday and Friday live streams have been becoming less frequent??? Has Cole decided to cut back on these to focus on CBTH??? Just wondering
I love your content but you didn't do your due diligence on your research before you made the comment about Raheem Morris being from the Sean McVay coaching tree . He was with Tampa Bay in the early 2000s as a defensive quality coach assistant and defensive back coach. He then went to Kansas State after defensive coordinator then back to Buccaneers as the defensive coordinator the elevated to head coach with the Buccaneers Buccaneers . Assistant head coach with the Falcons also defensive coordinator for the Falcons. Interim head coach for the Falcons 3 years with the Rams now present-day head coach of the Falcons
