@@bmask4731 but I also think it must be tough. Easy to say it shouldn't hold you back, but I think alot of circumstances must play in your favour to make having dyslexia a minimal hindrance

My oldest son has dyslexia so I know what this young man is going through. But what I'm most impressed by is that Simon is showing a more mature and sensitive side. It's a yes for me!
It's his son. Being there when he found out he had it. Knowing the struggle through school. Knowing the embarrassment his boy felt. Having to be in special education class. Being picked on. He might not of had it. But he felt all the pain his boy felt.
yea its all good to have children in the 21st that has Dyslexia, doctors know what it is, and had the knowledge, to correct the problem, trying being 4 years old with dyslexia like me and many others in the late 80s, doctors couldnt help anyone, they did not have alot of medication, to correct the problem
He is so cute and such a nice man, and he has an amazing voice. my daughter has dyslexia and she had been bullied at schol so I can understand how he feels
edit:"tell him to" google famous dyslexic people, I used to do that when i went to extra lessons to help me with my dyslexia. I personally always start the sentence half-way through and forgot i was supposed to write the first bit :D Lots of famous/successful dyslexic people (muhammad ali)
@@goldeneaglegaming2561 That's not what the original poster meant. Not 'showing off' as in boasting, show off your talents means don't have false modesty about them or be afraid to use them - if you are a good singer, then sing. What Raydan said is that his dyslexia is not a reason to stop him singing when that is his natural talent, he just needs to find a way to manage round it.
@Snaz Attack I quite agree. You and I would describe them as natural talents rather than 'god-given', but we can't deny that some people have a lot more natural talent than others and shouldn't be afraid to use them well.
I don't know what it's like to be dyslexic but his appearance makes him like able. In other words he's handsome. He also does have a beautiful voice and everybody deserves a chance. I wish him all the best. The sun is shining on everyone. He is no less than anyone. Best wishes to him.
He was let down as there is no reason for him to have suffered with his dyslexia like this. He is an intelligent and clever and talented person. Deserves success. Fabulous voice. Wonderful personality. Want to see and hear more of him.
I have dyslexia and throughout high school i struggled and the teachers would think i was making it up. I did graduate. I am now 35 work in law enforcement and still struggle with dyslexia and its so tough going through life with this issue. I know what he is going thru. My man got a great voice
I’m very happy that you have made a productive life, with, such an overwhelming disability….You, have much to be proud of and I am very glad, that in spite of it all….You, are a testament of what the human spirit can do…..Bless you….
What a voice,it’s that soft gravelly voice that I adore 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 What a gentle and humble soul he is. Love this song,Ray LaMontagne is my favourite male vocalist in the last 10/15 years.
Same here your not alone and he's not alone and being dyslexic is a good this I'm year 11 and my grads are 6a in art at school and in math my grads are 5a and in English isn't that great it's 2a but I'm in a normal class and yeah and have lots of friends and he's a great singer and he's really good at singing and got a lovely vocie I have mild dyslexic mild is only a little bit of it
If I said it once I will say it again, theses judges are all successful, respected highly professionals in the entertainment industry and without exception they always set people up for success. So it brings my heart joy when I see them taking chances on talent. Love these judges!!
I have dyslexia, I wish that more school distrects would take the time to teach dyslexic kids to read, because dyslexia can be a gift you can look at the world different and you can problem solve and see solutions that non dyslexics cant, to anyone else who has this wiring ,you are brilliant and you can do anything you set out to do with hard work, always look for the help and window of opportunity to meet your goals! Don't give up!
Bless you! You have such a humble, loving, beautiful and authentic soul..you made me smile watching this story and gave me hope for more pure and inspiring stories to overshadow all the ugliness..thank you for your light..good luck..:) xo
Thank you for addressing the fact that I takes like forever for a person with Dyslexic! Thank you ! It's like the words are sand and they just keeps slipping away and you can't get a hold of them !! But I recently got into reading because I had audiobooks to help me 😌, I am glad . Thanks to everyone making audiobooks happen or else it would take me a month to read a 300 hundred pages of English book let alone Chinese ... p.s I am Asian ...
Here I am, not even 9 AM yet and I'm crying over this video! His voice was amazing, his ability to recover from a moment of confusion & keep going was great, & I felt for him when he admitted to severe nervousness (who wouldn't be nervous?). I know this is an older video-whatever happened to this man after he was accepted as a contestant?
I don't know if there's anything that can be done for dyslexia, but hopefully he can gain confidence & calm his nerves because his voice is terrific!! I wish him well.
I love his voice. I felt for him when he mentioned he has dyslexia because as a dyslexic person myself I understand the struggles of learning. I really hope he goes far with his singing! He is a very sweet and humble soul. Anybody know the name and artist of the song he sang? Will really appreciate it. :)
Awww, bless him - great voice! Childhood anxiety and stress caused me to suffer with dyslexia. As a young adult an optometrist identified this as a 'mechanical eye problem' and gave me some daily eye exercises. Within approx 6 months I'd totally reversed the problem, and my life changed completely as the literary world opened up new opportunities for me. 💫🌀🌈💜
That’s very amazing, you have so much to be proud of…Too, bad somebody couldn’t tell this young man, about some of these positive things that he could look into, instead of just falling into it…I Went through many obstacles trials and errors, and was given a diagnosis of dyslexia, it was a wrong, diagnosis but was something else….I’ve overcomes so many things in my life, as adversities are part of every life, unfortunately but it does help us all grow. Bless, you for your sharing your story…..🙏
@@wandabyers3751 Awesome to hear your story. You're right, our adversities can make us stronger ... appreciate your reply, thank you. I sincerely hope James got the help he needed - his voice is wonderful.
@@bridgetedwardsmentalhealth409 I sincerely, hope James gets the help he needs too….. it would be a shame, for his singing not to be heard and enjoyed by all…. I’m, also very happy, that your childhood situation, was totally reversed, and things had a positive outcome… I, also want to thank you, for your kind words….💫🌸✨🌈💙
his voice is unbelievable, I love that style but going foward in a compilation like this will eat him up , he needs to make his own album with a backer like Simon ... love that style
this warmed my ❤...his voice reminds me of Rod Stewart...this young man has greatness in his soul. I love his voice the nervousness will wane if Sharon or one of you all work with him a bit.
You and me both he has so many obstacles to overcome and he can do it, he just has to believe in him self, but how can anybody help him with that? He has to do it….Its hard just to watch somebody fall..so many times…and I don’t even know him, and I want to help him..😢😢
Just because a person is not as perfect as the next one does not mean that they can not be successful in another area of life ! Life takes an effort and a life needs to be lived. Stand up and be counted for your beliefs ! Believe in yourself !
It s just so happen, that a person has such challenges, and needs our encouragement, so that it would help to bring out the best in him/her, and raw talent would shine. Bless him. Take your time, learn slowly, you will achieve your dreams.
He has a very distinct and unique voice…. If Simon, could pull some strings, plus a little encouragement from friends, and it appears, that he has a girlfriend too, she seems very devoted….. I think, if he could find it in him self to try and believe in himself, in anyway, possible, this could help him so much…. I wish him the very very best because he has an amazing voice, I think he could go along way, if he could get just get a break….
@@wandabyers3751 There are training therapy for people with dyslexia, that could improve his situation at least a bit. Tamara Foster kept forgetting her lyrics (else she should have won). I always suspected she had dyslexia. Perhaps yes, perhaps no.
HE SAID IT WAS HARD TO LEARN SOME THINGS FROM READING SO HE HAD T LEARN FROM OTHER WISE , I DON'T THINK MUSIC WAS THE PROBLEM FROM THE BANDS THAT DROPPED HIM, MAYBE THE MUSIC WASN'T HIS/THEIR STYLE. CONFIDENCE IS MORE NEEDED
Yeah that band he was with should have helped him more and supported him with his difficulty and who knows, they may have gone on to bigger and better things if they did'nt already. Some fantastic people in this world.
