She does like him though and her parents don’t know that he left her for a year. I mean, she told her parents that he’s her boyfriend and they pretended to be a couple and then he left to study so they were never official but the parents don’t know that. They assume that she’s angry at him which she is.

He only cared about studying and she wrote a confession letter in uni and thought he read it and agreed to go on a date with her. It was a misunderstanding so all these years she thought he said she was dumb. And then they met again (that’s where the drama starts), he does something and now she’s determined to prove him wrong and tries to make him fall in love with a dumb girl, when she’s not. Her parents, like typical asian parents, wanted her to go on blind dates but she didn’t want to so she said that he was her boyfriend. Then they went back to her hometown and he agreed to pretend to be her boyfriend (she left him with no other choice). So they get closer and after they come back, he goes to research abroad for what I assume a year. He tried to tell her but she was drunk. During the flight, she wanted to meet him at the spot where she wanted to meet him back in uni when he first “ditched” her. And since he did it again, she blocked him and he couldn’t explain to her. After a while, he realises that he can balance his career and love, and there is something more important than his career. So he gets back and tries to win her back. This scene is her messing with him, like revenge, making him suffer for leaving her for a year and not telling her. Since she doesn’t want to go on blind dates and stuff, her parents still think they are dating. So it’s not pressuring and they both like each other. Hopefully this is enough details and a good explanation 😅.
Though I pity how meiran poorly treat Prof zhuang but he deserves it for ghosting her after their night together (I think something significant supposed to happen that night, but they decide to not show it to us audience)

I watched the uncensored kissing scene on other channel.. that's why I went with the idea they slept together.. but somehow with so much artist scandal nowadays the producer decided to cut the scene. like you said maybe because she was drunk it look like Prof zhuang a bad guy, taking advantage of her.
Oh , actually the team could play SMART. IF ONLY I was put inside their team. I would give some ideas such as : 1. We know, Meiren was very drunk, JUST MAKE HER PASS OUT SUDDENLY after some intense a bit long kiss, make Zhuang stop too, and make Zhuang hold her tight, bring her to her own bedroom, kiss her on the forehead tight again. Hug her again, accompanied her until the "ready to go abroad". Give simple note on paper ( oldy but effective , I think ). EVERYONE IS HAPPY, AND SATISFIED I THINK. BUT SURE THE NOTE WILL RUIN THE ONCOMING STORY 🤣. COME ON! GENIUS OR VERY STRONG BRAIN CAN ENDURE SUCH HOT SITUATION LOH! the team doesn't do enough research for this. My husband is the prove hihihi. One that can hold, stop even in a very 'dangerous & very challenging' situation. Aannnnd he is super genious person. Ehehehe. Pure logic math. My husband is just like Zhuang, in his nature, cold headed, well prepared, clean, neat, sanitary, very detail, super careful, very patient, aand loving. But he is not such a good looking, his look is more like Doraemon , people say 🤣🤣🤣 . But I got smitten by him. Brainy man is very sexy in some areas. It's true. Good looking is bonus.
Why all the male leads in Chinese dramas r super perfect good at everything n female leads r shown to be just childish less smart n less talented than male lead😑🤦♀️
I don't care about uninteresting dramas. But someone jinxed this series. A main character with serious flaws, with the psychology of a capricious child + a female translator's voice = a bummer. And yes, she (gg) is also a professor...)))
What about if you watch it yourself ? The title is "the romance of the little forest" . But before watching this, it is a MUST , you watch 2 other dramas first. "10 miles of peach blossoms" and "love between fairy and devil" . In little forest drama, there are cameos and hints spread everywhere, also in their conversation, related to 2 previous dramas I mention. If you don't watch them first, you won't relate and understand what the ML and FL talk about, staring about. So , in order to enjoy to the max the giggling of this little forest drama, just do what I suggest.
