This sermon is so rich. Tell us what we are, remind us again of our sinfulness. He is telling us what we are in such a real and yet hopeful way. It is a relief to hear the truth.

This is so awesome and he is preaching the truth. So many preach that you can get saved and never sin again. Then they sin and sin and dent it. They are preaching and walking in darkness. They refuse to tell the truth and come to the light.

John 1:5 "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." Truth can be comprehended, but light itself is observed. Genesis 1:3 "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." So if God was light itself, then God said let there be "God" in Genesis 1:3. John wrote that God is "light", but when he used the word "light" in reference to God, he meant it in reference to truth since light exposes unseen things hiding or deceiving one in the darkness. If one were to say you walk in "darkness", it means you do not walk in truth (of how you speak and act before God).

At 3 minutes says we are reflection of light like the moon. Actually the moon gives off it's own light as God the Father put two lights in the heavens in Genesis. If you are born again the Father has permanently generated His light in you, you are not only a reflection. Whether you shine that true light is a whole nother story :)
The moon has no light of itself. If it did we would see it full all the time. We see it in various stages. Whole, half, quarters, etc. The moon only reflects the sun's light. But still a good reference of how we should reflect the light of Christ
